I can’t point to anyone specific, but one female staff member picked a completely unreasonable fight just because I walked into the shop with a camera. I had no intention of taking photos, she kept questioning me about why I had a camera and why I was in the store. I really liked the overall atmosphere and the products, but because of that particular staff member, I don’t think I’ll ever come back.
Always extremely helpful deli staff and great range. Plenty of registrar operators so standing in line to pay is rare and I love that there is no ‘self-serve’.nnIt might be a tad more expensive for some items, but the fantastic range, and exceptional quality coupled with fantastic service make shopping here an actual pleasure.
Age old proven local Italian supermarket. It has an exceptional cheese collection and some seriously rare and unheard of variety. It specialises in Mediterranean items but I have found all sorts of interesting stuff. The local Fitzroy North crowd loves this shop.nThere is a bottle shop on the left and a stationery shop upstairs.nnThe bread could be a lot better, especially the house bread nWould love too see a wine collection at the lower end like that at the Mediterranean.
Randomly walked by Piedimonte’s in Fitzroy North and decided to check it out as I love vintage malls/shops and WOW!! I was grinning ear to ear just walking around Piedimonte.nnFelt like I stepped into a 1950s-1980s movie NO self checkout and staff wore a collared pressed shirt uniform here.nn Narrow check out aisles. Can imagine a long wait time during peak hours.n limited range of international food - Asian, Mexican.n An IGA but very small option of Black & Gold home brand products.nn Unsure if there is a complimentary designated parking lot.nn Some staff are friendly and some are very unhelpful. A mixed bag here.n Fresh bakery and sandwich bar.n Huge selection of cards upstairs.n Elevator availablen Cafe upstairs. Didn't have coffee so can't comment on the drinks quality.n Tried their tiramisu for $8. It's okay. Needs Kahlua.n Fresh flower bouquets available. The Asian uncle assembling the bouquets was quite skilled. The $45 bouquets were pretty
Been going here for many years.Best bread rolls. Has liquor, lotto, nice roast chickens, hot pies. Probably the best IGA around.
