Meal tastes good, however the portion size was tiny!! For $33 I expect a lot more then a tiny take away container - have dined in last week and had the gnocchi… couldn’t finish it so was given a take away container which was bigger then this takeaway portion size- very disappointing Arancini Balls were good could have been more sauce - total order Was $52 in my opinion it isn’t worth it
Lucky find on a busy weekend in Toowoomba! Pizza is 10/10 incredibly light and flavourful dough, toppings are a bonus really! Smell, texture and taste is memorable. Rating 5 stars for the pizza alone - wouldn’t bother with other food menu items, they were a bit meh. Could have easily ordered more but the younger staff weren’t very attentive, would pay to have them check on tables and prompt orders instead of having empty plates and glasses on tables and thirsty diners - all trainable. Will be back on my next trip out west
Definitely recommend this place for your Italian pizza hit. Authentic, quality, fresh pizzas worth the $$ - you can tell the moment you bite into it. Good size for the price, I personally loved the Vegetarian & Margherita. Will be back when I visit Toowoomba again!
Went here for a weekday lunch. Ordered two pizzas to share amongst three hungry people. Chose the Diablo good amount of spice and Vegetariana certainly more healthier!. Both pizzas had generous amounts of toppings, thin sourdough bases with a crispy yet fluffy crisp. Perfect. Efficient and friendly service. Casual ambience with indoor and outdoor seating available. Prices on the higher end at $27 per pizza, however quite generous size and quality. Overall, a good lunch option for pizza!
It’s been an amazing place for Italian food in town. The food always great, service always friendly. Highly recommendRecommended dishesRegina, Truffle Gnocchi, White Based Pizza Tarufata, Posh Fries, Tartufata
Delicious stone based pizzas in Grand Central with a beautiful atmosphere. Had a few service issues in the past, but the owner happily addressed my concern and fixed any misunderstandings that were had. Thank you mangement.
Came up from Sydney for the long weekend to visit an old friend. Landed in Piccolo Papa for our Saturday evening meal... thank the lordie lord for that - just blown away by the amazing food at this fine establishment. The wood fired pizza had the fluffiest crust, perfect base, tomato and cheese, folded perfectly in the hand and filled my mouth with joy. Followed up with the melt-in-the-mouth beef cheeks risotto OMG now that was an outstanding winter warmer, the beef, the stock, the rice was all YUMMMM! Then we had the muscles dish - it was sooo gawd damn delicious I didn't even stop to take a photo and OMG the serving was MASSIVE so generous. The meal was paired with a gorgeous bottle of Aussie red, Barossa Shiraz, 2020 mind you!!!! And the Espresso Martini was shaken to perfection, with a scorched marshmallow on a swizzle stick. Such a fun take on the classic dirty. Thanks Piccolo Papa people - the quality of food was unexpectedly OUTSTANDING and poo poos over anything you'd find on Lygon Street, 100% bang on perfection. Speed of service was fast - almost too fast - I loved the outdoor atmosphere under the gas heaters I wanted to stick around and savour the location as much as the food. And the lovely ladies serving us made us feel really welcome and like family. You guys worked so hard and looked after us so well - thank you. Piccolo Papa, we'll be back baby, can't wait to get on a plane and visit my friend in Toowoomba again... just so we can come back and eat all those other items on the menu. Eleventeen out of ten!
Nice atmosphere and helpful staff. Situated on ground floor of a huge shopping centre. My only disappointment was my Seafood pasta contained calamari that was so chewy it was inedible. I passed that information onto the head chef so I don't know if they will improve on it in the near future. It was a shame as it spoilt an otherwise very tasty meal .
Fantastic! Extremely beautiful! Look I know the price seems a bit more than others and it is, but it is more than worth it. I previously purchase the carbonara as a bit of a test and was blown away. This time we ordered pizzas, pastas and a couple kids items and all of which were just beautiful. Thanks! We will be making this our new treat night favourite.
Fabulous little Italian place with a great vibe - watching the busy kitchen smash out delicious meals. The pumpkin and truffle gnocchi were a standout. Portion sizes were plentiful and service friendly. A Toowoomba dinner favourite for us now.Food: 4/5
