A colleague it me onto these guys last week and I can’t believe I’ve been walking past to get my lunch for the last few years. The service here is fantastic and the food is just as good. Their banh mi is one of the best I’ve ever had. Served on a warm crispy baguette it has the perfect amount of nicely seasoned crispy pork belly, carrot, daikon, coriander, chilli, pate, mayo and a delicious sauce. At $7-8 it is good value for such a fresh and delicious roll. This will definitely be a regular stop from now on. I just wish I had stopped in sooner.
Decent pho and well priced. Plenty of fresh meat and a very tasty broth. The pork chop with tomato rice was a 7/10. Great range of other Vietnamese food like Banh Mi, rice paper rolls, fried rice, spring rolls, and noodle soups. The coffee is not bad too!
Really good pho. Very authentic stock/soup. Just watch out for the ‘seafood’, as it is fish balls rather than any actual seafood at least that’s how it was in the seafood laksa. It’s not bad, just not what I was expecting. Overall still a really nice place and I’m looking forward to trying more of their dishes. Wonton noodle soup not good. The Pho is still the best option
At phoodle you get a huge crispy Vietnamese roll stuffed with two eggs and z mound of bacon, plus a coffee, all for $7.50. It is the best and best value cafe in st Leonards. The guy who works there is also a legend
Wow…. What a great find! The food is so good and fresh! And the service is even better. Compared to other places around the food is soooo much better and cheaper. I’ve only had the crispy pork roll so far and it was amazing. I’m so excited to come here everyday and try everything!!
The pho broth is fantastic. Staff are absolutely wonderful. I routinely order takeaway through the Hey You app, they always have it ready and with a friendly smile. Even when we eat in in a large group, they encourage us to order on the app so that it's all ready by the time we arrive. It's great to see that they are usually super busy at lunch time. Thanks guys!
It is an unlikely place to go for a decent bowl of Vietnamese Beef Noodle soup, but it is a secret no more that Cafe Buon Cibo can serve up a nice bowl of Pho. For $10, you can get a bowl of soup served with your choice of chicken, beef or vegetables. If you are not up for noodle soup that day, they also serve Vietnamese pork rolls and rice paper rolls. Be warned though, as it gets packed early at lunchtime, and due to their limited amount of seats, you may have to get take away. But for all that effort, you will not be disappointed.
Terrible cafe. Unacceptable food practice as found hair & what looked like to be a piece of glass in my noodle dish. They also remove all their outside seating 3 hours before the cafe says it closes. When asked if they were closing soon they said no, however they are more than happy to take your money but not provide adequate seating for their customers. Would not bother with this place. The customer service is less than mediocre. Also the picture when you google their Herbert street cafe is not correct. Would not recommend this cafe anyone. I hope their serve their customers better at their Kingsford location.
I work down the road from Phoodle and they do some of the best coffee available in the area and it is quite reasonably priced. Their soups are also extremely delicious, though the quality of ingredients could sometimes be a little 'traditional'.
Pretty decent Pho at a decent price. Nice sweet, fragrant, beefy broth. No basil, bean sprouts, etc provided which was a bit disappointing, but they did add some in the kitchen. cha gio was cold and not amazing. its in the lobby of an office building so atmosphere is pretty lacking, but the staff were super friendly.
