This is one of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants, we go there a lot for a nice Vietnamese meal. had stuffed chicken wings, Beef combination pho, and grilled pork vermicelli which comes with spring rolls. The food is always good, and staff are friendly.
delicious rare beef pho, perfect broth, fresh sprouts, will come again. love that we get to write our own order down. the kitchen was also very accommodating of my gluten free dietary requirements. thank you !
Didn’t realize they also go by the name Phostar, but all the same the food is great - the Pho broth is light and well balanced and the noodles have the right amount of spring and bite.They make lovely meat and prawn spring rolls too! So glad we went ahead to have lunch there despite the name confusion. Will come again!
Such a great place to enjoy some incredible vietnemese food. All made fresh to order. Lots of menu options available. If something has meat easy to change to vegetarian. I wanted only prawn rice paper rolls which they easily made to order. The staff are so helpful. The Pho is generous and very delicious. Many to choose from. If you don't want Pho there are stir fries, rices, noodles and so much more to choose from. I really like the traditional vietnemese coffee served with condensed milk. Friendly service by the lovely lady. Food was quick and the restraunt very clean. This place is now my favourite.
Friendly staff, fantastic menu with vegetarian and vegan options and prompt service. Meals arrived piping hot, tasty and visually pleasing. We had the bubble tea which complimented our meals perfectly. The restaurant is clean and sparsely decorated, but the food and service are the main attraction. Definitely worth a visit
This place is a walking distance from esplanade hotel. Located next to Hoyt Cinema, it used to have a very different atmosphere as they had a proper restaurant vibe. With different management, now its an open concept with side cafe selling Bobba Tea and pastries, buns & sandwiches. A very strategic location for a quick bites.They serve asian dishes in general but their highlights are vietnamese cuisine. They do take away too. Their have varieties of menu to choose from. As for their food, Taste wise, they are alright. Service is fast with a smile they like to stare too . Cleanliness, they really need to step up. i do hope they are more alert with that, not talking about swept flour or wiped tables, but more abt cutterleries and clean tableware when serving. On the tables, there are cutterlery caddies, One has to look careful when using their fork or spoon as some are really not carefully cleaned/washed. I hope they pay attention to important details such as these. Their glass, cups or serving pot too, should be checked before serving it to customers. O boy...pls check before taking things out from the kitchen as it really is not pleasant being served on dirty glass, jar, spoon or fork. Overall, the experience is alright and hopefully they do alright.
This has to be the worst bowl of of Pho I have ever experienced . After my whole life of enjoying my favourite dish. The soup is bland and watery the signature aromas of anise seeds fresh basil wasnt there . Coming from Syd and been to restaurants in Mel. This restaurant needs to lift its game and tastes in Pho. Looks good but tastefully disappointing . :
Great atmosphere and friendly staff - Huge servings and the beef pho was really tender. Staff even offered me a face mask when I had lost mine. Hope to come again!
Super delicious fresh food on the menu with the added bonus of vegan options that are labelled on the menu. Very friendly staff.
Expensive and small portions. Seems to taste ok. Had to wait 15 minutes after the expected pick up time only to find out it had been waiting on the kitchen bench getting cold. Seems to be poor communication issues between the kitchen and front desk.
