Pho Ngon Vietnamese Restaurant

My personal favourite Bahn-Mi in Sydney. The grilled pork one is better than the rest of the fillings. Stir fired beef with rice tasted mild and great. Service is good. Also don’t forget to try their sugar cane juice.

Great Vietnamese restaurant just off the mall at Westfield Hornsby, about 100m from the fountain. This is the authentic experience, just like being there in Saigon or HCM. I went for their Combination Beef Noodle Soup $16 and the missus tried the Pork Chop Rice $14...Both were excellent. The soup had all the bits I was looking for, soft tendon, chewy bits and lots of beef in a flavoursome stock. The Pork was deep fried and served with a bowl of refreshing lemon grass scented dipping sauce....delightful! Dining room wont win any ambience awards, but hey, it's about the food! I noted that the washroom was very clean, reassuring! I picked up 4 Bah Mi pork rolls to take home after dinner....they too were great. You can afford to eat here every week and not break the bank. Well Done Pho Ngon!

First time visiting this shop. We loved that the pho has big portion of meat, very generous amount. Meat lover will be happy about this. For the beef combination pho, it includes at least five different parts of beef. The soup of pho tasted quite rich as well. Hot tea is self served. Price is reasonable with this portion. However, one thing I would like the restaurant to improve is their cleanliness. The floor was a bit sticky and the seats were not very clean.

Visited for the first time and loved their food! Their spring rolls were yummy but a bit overpriced being quite petite. Overall delicious lunch

The soup pho hits the spot and so is the quantity. We ordered raw beef pho and ice coffee. The restaurant have a few options such as laksa which is not a traditional Vietnamese cuisine so we avoid it. I want to try their pork roll which always has a long queue in front which must be good.Recommended dishesRare Beef and Tendon Pho

First off…customer service was nonexistent. Lady just threw the menus onto our table, while singing, as if she was in her own world, but without saying a word to us there and then, when we gave our order and when she gave our food. Then, we got the iced coffee that, as you can see in the picture, was half way filled, no presentation at all. As soon as we walked to our table as well, it felt very hazardous that the floor was so oily and slippery. Our table also did not look wiped down properly and all of the condiments were dirty as well, as seen in the picture. Keep in mind, we had just came in for breakfast at sometime just after they had opened at 9. However, the pho and crispy chicken tomato rice were nicely portioned and of good quality. Mind blown by this kind of attitude that it was funny enough to laugh at but also just really unbelievable.

More like chicken scraps roll!! I ordered the BBQ chicken roll but it was mostly bones and guts and burnt scraps. Very disappointing…. I don’t like to waste food but I had to throw mine out. Best to order other banh mix

Let me do some justice to Pho Ngon. They have to be one of the best Viet food around nsw. I did not have any issues with them because mine was a takeaway. Don't let those bad dined in reviews stop you from trying them out, they are of good value and quality. Their chef is definitely a seasoned one. I look forward to going back again and again until they change their chef!

We usually get takeaway here every couple of weeks since we can’t eat in atm. Food is good 8/10, but tonight ordered spring roll vermicelli and although the spring roll itself tasted fine on inside, outside was not pleasant to look at. It was burnt. All 5 spring rolls. It was a dilemma to eat it or not, as we didn’t want to be left with just the noodles. If it happens again next time I’ll complain. Overall, I would order again as their pork chop and special rice is nice. Price is decent.

The food was good, so was the serving size. I really enjoyed the Laksa. The guys doing the waitering were doing their best but, they would forget items we ordered as well forgetting to provide the utensils. I didn't get drink till halfway through the meal. As I was paying, the owner stopped midway to have a conversation to her friends who just walked in, all I needed to do was tap my phone to pay and I'm out. Overall the food was good, the service not so great.
