Always consistent delicious Pho. Broth is full of flavour and complexity. Worth crossing the river for. I always come in with plans to try something different but fall back to my favourite Combination Pho.
Seriously the best place to get traditional Vietnamese cuisine in Brisbane. My husband I go here on a weekly basis. The rare beef noodle soup is consistently delicious and great value for money. I also highly recommend the Tapioca noodle soup with crispy skin chicken you get a bowl of noodle soup plus side serving of crispy chicken. I cannot rave on enough about how much we love this restaurant. It's a no frills restaurant though so don't expect out of the world service though, but what you will get is out of this world noodle soup every single time. Love it!
Conveniently located in the middle of Market Square we like their Combination Beef Pho Dac Biet and Bun Bo Hue.
Went again in Dec 22, still the same knockout quality Pho that I got 3 years ago, highly recommended Wow, this place does Pho really well! The broth is just divine - you can tell that this is made with care. The soups are offered in a range of sizes - trust me, the large size is huge - I'd challenge any one person to finish it. I reflect some of the comments other reviewers have made about service - it's very fast but not friendly. Not rude or anything, just short of a smile is all which is more than made up with very good food at a very good price. The true test is how busy it is even on a Tuesday - I've walked past the place on weekends when there is always a queue of diners waiting for a table. Enjoy!
I went to a number of pho restaurants in the south side. IMO, this is the best. The beef broth is light and yet full of flavour. It tastes slight sweet. If you order different types of noodle soup, you get different broth, eg chicken is different to the beef one and the clear noodle is different as well. However, service need improving. Staffs are not rude, but just not friendly. They don’t smile to you. When you pay at the cashier, no thank you was said.
So I have read through alot of the 'negative' posts and find that most sound privileged regarding service. Tip: get over it and simply order without expecting thier hard work to translate into 5 star service. My wife and I have been coming here for many years and made an effort to make a good customer relationship. Food is incredibly tasty particularly the Special Beef Phò which I always have with spring rolls. Occasionally I'll have the BBQ pork with rice and cant pass on Bun Bo Hue also. Thanks guys for filling our bellies for so long chur!
Biggest bowl of Pho I have ever had!!
Covid safe plan in place and convenient location in Market Square nestled in the corner next to the Public washrooms. Decent sized portions, Phô tastes amazing and they're quick. Been my local Vietnamese restaurant for years. My go to dishes are Spring rolls for starters followed by the Pho and Meatcake dish with pork chop and egg on broken rice alongside the Crispy chicken and normally round it off with the Ice lemon drink. The bowls are huge and for around $13 Large bowl is enough to feed 3x people. They can prepare Vegetarian springrolls just let them know ahead of time. Friendly staff.
It was a dark and stormy night... well actually it was a cold and rainy morning with storms forecast to come, and we were in search of something warming for lunch, specifically somewhere with undercover parking. Settled on Pho Hien Vuong Pasteur at Market Square, swayed by the presence of the new multistorey carpark . But...took the wrong exit, so got rained on a little bit. Tip for next time: take the stairs/lift in the north-eastern corner for direct access to sheltered walkways on ground level. Our order: * no.8 pho, $14 large - special beef noodle soup with choice of rare beef and beef ball * no.19 bun bo hue, $12 medium - spicy beef with round rice noodle soup, shin beef, steam pork, pork roll I didn’t want to slurp my BBH and get the spicy soup everywhere but found the round rice noodles pretty tricky to handle with the metal spoons provided - really needs a proper soup spoon I think. Other than that I was pretty happy with this meal - comforting and totally hit the spot for the weather
