Fantastic array of Philly style food on offer. The Philly snack pack is absolutely to die for and loaded with flavour in every bite. A bit hard to find parking in the area but well worth it.
Loved the Philly cheesesteak from here, was like being back in the United States. The steak is tender and super tasty. Dude cooking was friendly and food was cooked perfectly. I will be back.
Good food, really unique and my American partner loves the phillys. BUT I ordered online. Asked me to wait 30 minutes for pickup. So I did. Confirmed for 740 Arrived at this time. After 2 minutes of confusion the orders machine started pinging and a text came through saying order will be ready at 740. It was 742. Staff said it would be 10 minutes I asked if the order had not come through. They said no, it had. They will be 10 minutes. Then they started cooking my food. So the 1 star is not for technical blunders. But for not owning up to an issue, and on top of this not offering any apology. Great food but service is minimal.
Ordered 2 cheese steaks. Beef and chicken. We died. Delicious. Huge portions. Waffle fries are AMAZING. Location is in a gas station but no regrets
We were keen to try this as we are from the Philadelphia area, it was not a bad steak sandwich however definitely NOT an authentic Philly cheese steak as was advertised. The steak on this sandwich was thick cubes, the steak on an authentic Philly cheese steak is sliced thinly. Personally I found the steak a bit chewy.
Super accommodating and friendly staff. Able to customise the shake! Very generous servings! We shared the Philly Cheese combo and got a Maple Syrup Vanilla shake. The beef was a bit dry and there wasn’t enough sauce to compensate. The bread roll was soft and fresh. Would have preferred the classic with no capsicum and onion but they are a good addition. Waffle fries can stay longer in fryer! Great lads keeping the place running!
Short distance from Sydenham station. Located beside the Metro service station at 531 Princes Highway. They are open till late, which is awesome. Ordered the Monterey Jack and the Chikky Philly cheese steaks + waffle fries and drink. Great service. Good food truck ambience. The waffle fries were amazing! The cheese steaks themselves were divine though I felt the taste of whiz cheese was overpowering. Otherwise, really great takeaway dinner. Stay blessed, y'all!
These guys have owed me money for 8 months for food i paid for but never received. I ordered via their website and they said they never received my order, despite my credit card being charged. When I requested a refund they told me to 'wait a few days' and I'd receive it. I contacted them 4 days later, and showed them proof of payment, and was told that the manager would get back to me. Since then I've called countless times, emailed them and visited in person, only to be told the manager was not available. The thing that upset me most was that the food i ordered was going to be a special treat for my kids to celebrate something. I'm a sole parent and we don't get takeout often. The fact that Philly Up are refusing to give me my refund is truly maddening, I just don't get it.
Great place for a late night feed. Range of burgers, hot dogs and their signature philly cheese steak. Monterrey Jack with egg will cure your hunger for sure, Just don't get the mac n cheese.
Philly Up is a family run American Styled Fast Food Stall next to a petrol station; their signature food products are the hot dogs and the burgers. Customer service: Excellent and polite. The only thing to keep into mind is there is only one cook, so if there is a line of people waiting for their order, you will be required to wait. Food: I got the cheezy peezy. Plenty of melted cheese on a hot dog which was great. The sausage itself wasn't something as gourmet or unique as I thought but overall a very solid fast food option. Price: Personally speaking most of the hot dogs are over $10; which to me is a bit high for hot dogs. Burgers range from $15 - $25. Would I go back? Yes, there is so much variety available, definitely worth going back to try other food products.
