I randomly passed by this restaurant with a friend and decided to give it a try. The ambience is fantastic, and the food is absolutely delicious. My friend ordered the pork bao bun, and I had the pork belly. The portion sizes were perfect for sharing between two people. We were just having the food, and I absolutely forgot to take photos before eating them. The atmosphere was great, and I will definitely visit again. Highly recommend this place!
I couldn't fault my visit to Phat Brew Club but do agree it can be a little pricey.nnPlace was extremely busy but managed to squeeze in on a high table. Self service through a QR code which made it hard to make substitutions but the food we received was amazing and I especially loved the sambal/kewpie mayo combo on what was a ridiculously phat burger! And the fried brussel sprouts were perfectly crisp and the chilli caramel glaze was incredibly tasty.nnI don't know why we ordered the egg rice but the Asian flare to their pub menu enticed us and it went surprisingly well with everything else, especially the Lemongrass Chicken skewers.nnLoved the set up and vibe and the array of beers on offer. Other reviews seem to make me believe food choice is hit or miss but in my case it was all hits, I promise!
Overall Phat Brew Club dining experience was good but pricey :/nnPrice: Is on the expensive side, but they some have daily specials. ~$80 for 3 dishes and a pint of beer.nTaste:nChicken Burger was flavoured well, chicken was extra crispy and seasoned well. Chips were average.nBelacan chicken bites were great especially with the dipping sauce, however there could have been a few more pieces of chicken for the price $22…nCrab baos were soft and crispy, crabs could have been seasoned more… but they did have sauce.nDrinks - Ginger ninja - $14.50 for a pint. Standard price and tastes as expected - great!nAtmosphere: good mix of people dining on a Saturday eveningnParking: lots of nearby parking availablennWould consider visiting more frequently if the price wasn’t so steep or more value was given for the price paid.
Pretty good place for a company lunch with great beers and ciders on tap. Unfortunately our food order took ages to arrive and my burger patty was not cooked enough and was raw inside!!!
Average beer, hit-and-miss food but all over priced. We ordered the belacan chicken half-decent, spicy soy beef cheek ok but very fatty and way over priced, charcoal grill sambal market fish rubbery, spicy and expensive, lamb ribs overcooked, like jerky on a bone, rice this was dry, so was either over-cooked or left lying and chips actually very tasty and crunchy. The worst part was the service. Staff accepted our order and our request for no coriander but then came back to us saying the chicken skewers were marinated in coriander. I offered to pay the $2 difference so that we could get the belacan chicken instead, staff accepted. They then came back to us a second time saying that two of the meat dishes had a coriander infused rub. As we had run out of dishes that we would've liked to order we just went with it. After all this, the belacan chicken was still served with a coriander garnish. The pale ale and the stout lacked depth and flavour.
