Like Neighbouring Stanmore station Petersham is immaculately clean & looked after by the staff and it has lovely heritage buildings , this in particular being the original 1885 built station building on the northern side which is in private business use I believe, Shame about the pedestrian underpass though , the original 1880's tiles are coated in eyesore graffiti the CCTV cameras have been no deterrent as the lenses get covered in spray paint July / August 2024 the original station building on the northern side is still covered in scaffolding as it undergoes a well overdue full restoration etc

As a result, the station becomes increasingly crowded around 3:20pm to 3:35pm on weekdays, encouraging visitors to exercise caution when visiting. Petersham station is generally kept clean and hygienic, offering lifts and bathrooms to increase accessibility.

I didn’t know you could give train stations ratings so you learn something new every day. This station is full of history, similar to many others on the inner west line. The fact they’ve made it accessible is also a a major plus. Too many of the old stations are difficult to get around, but not Petersham.
