Share the screenshot of your swearing to customer is not abusing your business. Got threatening message from Alex Anuriw, the guy runs this place. Bit pathetic and miserable. Wish he could spend half of his time to provide good service instead of threatening customers. Please sort out your attitude and filthy mouth first. Comments I put last time: Seriously, guy who runs this place do not have common sense. Which way is much COVID safer? 40-50 people sitting besides each other inside the pub or sitting in the audience’s seating area which can keep 1.5m social distance? He kept saying I do not make the rules. Also please do not go to this place in summer time, the cooling system is too old to maintain the ice arena if it is over 40 degree. There was extra water on the ice making the surface unsafe to skate on.
Absolutely awful. There’s not a lot of good things to say. The skates are poor quality even though wearing many layers of thick socks, you will get blisters. My friends and I couldn’t even stay for more than half an hour. the ice was uneven and had many dips and holes which one of my friends hurt their feet on. The music was quiet for a “disco night” and it was so dark which isn’t very friendly for anyone DO BETTER HONESTLY
Standard ice rink. Not particularly smooth. Not particularly friendly. Kids thought the lights were cool. Note for parents with little ones. They aren't allowed to stand on the back of the penguin supports, only push them.
Reading other reviews 1st left me very reserved, though I can say mine and family members throughly enjoyed the arena. Would definitely place it on the list to go again when back in Perth.
Super grumpy old man running the place. Tells people off for not having their card ready the second they reach the register. Change rooms stink of rotten floorboards. Dirty floors all over. Ice watery & not regularly smoothed/levelled. Very bad customer service from owner on many occasions I don't usually do reviews..that's how bad it is. Often no one at the counter to pay until sessions start. After queing for skates & putting on you've taken up 30mins of supposed skate time hence session only starts 30mins in so you're actually paying full price for 2/3 of advertised time. The other staff are alright. Cockburn ice arena is the best in Perth just quite far for some of us.
Through the DJ system, people , actually refering me, was asked " Skaters, please do not turn right, only turn left anti-clockwise !" when I was doing crossover to the right at one end of the rink in a quiet Sunday. Never heard this stupid rule in Cockburn or rinks in other states, only in Perth Ice Arena.
Terrible ice conditions, puddles of water. Not enough skate sizes. Absolutely no regard for safety. Staff should be monitoring skaters and warning/removing people acting dangerously.
Session started at 1pm, there was no one at the front counter till exactly 1pm. Why charge people for a 1 to 3 session if half the rink don't get served till 1:30? The hire skates were terrible, my partner had to take her skates back 2 times due to broken plastics stabbing her feet. The ice was so watery and uneven, felt like I was skating on lake. If you come to this rink, make sure you pack a pair of floaties and some beach towels
we went at a quiet time on a weekday not school holidays so there was plenty of space on the rink as a beginner. the facility is fine but looks a little dated.
Had a fun evening here watching Perth Vs Melbourne in the ice hockey. Venue staff were friendly and the crowds were also friendly. There is a bar upstairs for the ice hockey, and there is also a cafe for food & drinks.
