The public viewing lookout at Perth Airport offers a great spot for aviation enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. Located just outside the airport, it provides an excellent vantage point to watch planes take off and land. The view of the runway is unobstructed, and there are shaded areas with seating, making it a comfortable place to relax. There’s also ample parking available nearby, which is convenient for short visits. It's a peaceful spot to take in the activity of the airport, especially for families or those who enjoy watching aircraft in action. Highly recommend for a short visit!
Do make sure to check on Flight Radar planes are landing on RW03 next to the viewing spot before you go.nnWhen RW03 is operating its an excellent experience with planes right up close for take off and landing.
Lovely to see the planes land and take off, but the viewing area is in the area where the least planes land and take off.
Are you or your kids airplane lovers then The Perth airport viewing point is really a great option to get an awesome view of flight landing and take off.nThe flight landing view is good and very close to the view point. The flight take off view too is good but not so close to the viewing area because few flights take off soon before reaching the viewing area.nThe place is set in a very beautiful way. The viewing area is set in a very simple way and in a ramp style. There are few seating arrangements. But on sunny days it's very hot. It's good to bring water and hats.nIt's good to check the flight times before planning a trip to the viewing area.nThere are no toilet facilities available.nEntry is free but there is timingnApril- September-7:30am to 5:30pmnOctober - March-6:30am to 7:00pmnParking is available
The Perth Airport Public Viewing Area is a nice spot for plane enthusiasts, but I was a bit disappointed. Due to the runway damage, the planes land and take off far away, which makes it less exciting than usual. A suggestion for improvement would be to put up a sign indicating the current situation so visitors know what to expect. Despite this, it’s still a great place to hang out!
