Incredible pizza slices and Italian sweets. The pizza has fantastic crunch so is texturally VERY satisfying - definitely no soggy pizza here which also makes it really easy to eat. Each slice is very sturdy to hold so good for on the go. The base has great dark colouring but not burnt. The dough itself has stacks of flavour so I’m guessing it’s fermented over a reasonable period of time. The toppings have a surprising amount of flavour - the flavour of the mushrooms on the mushroom one was very strong. The leek on another really stood out. The spicy nduja was perfection - so much flavour! The Italian sweets were incredible - the Iris was surprising as the texture on the outside was crunchy which provided a beautiful contrast to the soft dough and creamy ricotta inside. The lovely staff gave us one of their signature Baci’s for free - it was a soft and creamy melt in your mouth experience with a yummy touch of orange zest to brighten it up. The staff are also absolutely delightful - super friendly and welcoming!
This place is so nice! I couldn't wait for it to be open as there's no coffee shops on my way to work from Chapel st. Everything I've tried is delicious and there are some pastries and desserts I haven't seen in other Italian cafes. Coffee is good too. Great thing that it is open in the morning and in the evening as well.
Amazing little gem!!! If you want great pizza and a great selection of finger food this is the place to go! One of the best pizza in Melbourne, the dough was nice and crispy, the toppings of high quality and great variety. The service is welcoming and friendly! Definitely a place to go over and over again if you like Italian food!
What an authentic Italian experience. There's a great selection of Romana style pizzas during lunch time. We got the margarita and porcini pizzas. The pastry selection is very good - highly recommend the chocolate tartFood: 5/5
My partner and I love this place! We just can't wait to go back. Genuinely one of the best pizzas we've had. We also ate one of the most amazing pistachio deserts afterwards. 10/10.
Charming little pizza bar in every sense of the word! A great menu big enough to have a hard time choosing but small enough you’re not overwhelmed. Everything sounded so delicious, and what we chose was fantastic. I wish I took photos but from chandelier/plaster-decor down to the bench tops and tiling, L'Amorino is the sweetest place to have a casual dinner date. The staff were stupidly kind and accommodating I can say with confidence I will happily support this place for as long as I live nearby. I will be eating pizza way more often now that this place has opened. Thank you so much for a lovely meal!
We had the best night at Amorino last night. The pizzas are exceptional. Cristina and Angelo are committed to excellence. Everything they do has the customer in mind, to give a unique, quality experience. I don’t believe anybody in Melbourne is doing this style of pizza - Angelo uses 4 or 5 different types of flour, proofs the dough for about 48 hours, then a further I think more than 12 hours leavening. This gives the dough a really nice flavour. And the ingredients! Only the best. I had capricciosa, my daughter had margherita, and my wife had Toscana.
Delicious pizza, meatballs and coffee. Will definitely be back to try some bombolini.
Seriously- everything about this place is quality. The food. The coffee. The service. Staff are so welcoming! And they make sure you’re well looked after. The food is amazing! What a hidden gem! I came in in dieing need of a coffee at 2045hrs and they were more than happy to still serve me. I made sure I came back the next day to try their pizza, and what do you know- this has gotta be the best food in Melbourne! Thank you guys! You’ve got a customer for life
