Im am absolutely appalled at the behaviour of the staff at Penrith Skatel. I was visiting the Skatel as part of my schools sports curriculum and upon arrival I was assaulted with the most foul odour of what seemed to be feet.nI had purchased a drink from THEIR canteen, I had accidentally dropped my purse on the floor and immediately picked it up but was shocked to hear one of the old ladies muttering “just gonna throw your purse on the floor”. When I went back to my bag to drink my refreshment I was told I was not allowed to drink it at the provided tables. I was told very rudely that I was not allowed to stand at my bag. In their words: “GET OUT OF THERE!”nWhen I was collecting my skates, me as a naturally shy person stuttered slightly when asking for my skates, nonetheless I was still very polite, I was told I had no manners by one of the old ladies that worked there.nThe old ladies that work at the Penrith Skatel are targeting children clearly. They would never have such atrocious behaviour when an adult was present. They are preying on the young and vulnerable because they are less likely to tell.nHowever the other staff at the Skatel were very nice and pleasant and were open to give kind feedback to struggling skaters.nTo the Penrith Skatel old ladies, fix your attitude and the ventilation of the building.
Was treated poorly by the owner when trying to host an event for the community. Hung up the phone in my face while speaking, doesn’t stick by her word, tried to over charge me and her name is Sue I believe how you spell it. Don’t recommend if hosting an event!!!!

I attended a party at this venue. One staff member, an older woman, displayed shockingly unkind behavior toward children.nnSkate game were held in the center of the field once every hour, and my 6-year-old, who is naturally shy, finally gathered the courage to join the last game after a day of hesitation. This woman stood at the center of the field, pointed to the exit, and told him to leave loudly in front of everyone because the game had just started 10 seconds ago?!? That game didn’t even have a limit on number of people playing.nnShe could have explained this to him kindly and quietly. Instead, she chose to be mean. My son left the field in tears, and what should have been a fun, weekend’s birthday party.nnI want to say to that old lady - how would you feel if your child or grandchild got told to leave in front of everyone at a little party game. How could you do that to a little child??nnMy advice is that don’t go to this place if you want your children to have fun and also being treated with respect.nnThis lady behavior was unacceptable, and I urge the venue to train their staff interacting with children. Treat them with the respect and kindness. If incapable of doing so then stop catering for children parties. This place would be a nightmare for kids!
So good, funny and friendly staff. Always a fun time, great for parties too!
