I can highly recommend Ken and Julie and Penfolds. They are the type of people you want to do business with, and simply want to find out more. They went above and beyond, and follow through with what they say, which is a rarity nowadays. I'm very happy and will be a returning customer.
Ken, Julie and Troy have been our favourite jeweller in Brisbane for many years, because they have proven themselves to be honest and fair with the prices. They are proud of their business. The items in Penfolds are often unique and beautiful, and always high quality. They seem to buy their stock carefully.
Julie was lovely, helpful, and patient with me and my fianceé. We got our wedding bands; and the engagement ring adjusted here. Prices were reasonable.
I had both my engagement ring and wedding ring made by Troy 6 years ago and loved them, and have just been back to have my ring resized and the service is still wonderful. The lovely lady who is at the front counter deserves a special mention - she is a real asset to their business.
Beyond disappointed with the service from Penfolds and Ken specifically. My fiance and I took my engagement ring to see about having the setting altered. Ken gave us a few suggestions on what he thought could be done and told us to leave it with him and he would get back to us by end of the following day with a quote if it was possible. He even wrote on my receipt "do not start work" so we could first give it the OK when he called.... no call. I called after the weekend and Ken told me they had already started on the ring huh? I thought we were just getting a quote, he told me they were doing a "finger bezel" and asked if I wanted work to stop, I said no if it's already  started there's no point stopping now. We called again after a few days, and after several un returned phone calls we finally get through to Ken who informs us the ring hasn't actually been touched. Over the following week, he told is on TWO more occasions that the ring was being worked on, only to then say it had not been touched days later. Not only did he lie to us about what was happening, he never called back when he said he would, never once apologised and generally spoke to us as if we were a nuisance. When finally after 2 weeks we returned to collect our untouched ring he arrogantly declared that no-one in town would agree to alter the setting of the ring. We were always open to the fact that it might not be possible and open to suggestions. It is the lack of communication, outright lies and unapologetic wasting our time that we take issue with. I don't know how anyone can run a functional business while treating its customers so poorly. Save yourself a whole lot of time and frustration, take your business elsewhere.
Created a custom engagement ring with Troy and got a great result. Their prices are very competitive too. Highly recommend
I have been a customer of Ken Penfold for 38 years. I would never go anywhere else. Family and friends have also been to Ken and received the same genuine service.

While their wares were beautiful and the female associate working was kind and helpful, the male associate I first interacted with was condescending and aggressive. I'll think twice before returning.
