Taking advantage of the easter weekend and the fact that most of the other food and beverage places are closed, Pendulum has gouged bar prices, have only 1 person serving customers and have the slowest service I have ever seen here. Absolutely disgusting for Australia’s most prestigious airport.
It is a little bit pricey as you would expect from any restaurant in the airport, however, it is not super expensive. Good place for a pint of beer or a glass of wine before your flight. Plus their chicken Parma was actually a lot better than I was expecting, with crunchy chips and a simple but nice salad. Just be aware that it will take 15 minutes for it to arrive so always make sure that you have plenty of time before sitting for a meal.
Food was great! Beef burger was yummy!!! Barramundi cooked better than other restaurants I had in Sydney. Love the chips really fresh and crispy. Staff is very friendly and caring~ While the only one thing is we waited for the dish too long about 20 minutes, there is only one chef ‍ well understandable... We weren’t in hurry so it’s fine. Still recommended for the food quality!!!
Expensive prices for small servings but it is the domestic airport so kinda expected. Wine list is small and v expensive for what you get. Caesar salad was reasonably tasty though.
DO NOT GO. The worst food for its price. The coffee was awful; and the egg Benedict is by far the worst I’ve had, not to mention its price. For $20, you’ll get two leaves, yes that’s right, just two. And, English muffin with ham….
The food took nearly 20 minutes making me nearly late for my flight. As for the food the chicken was dry and the salad was soggy. The food was overpriced at $25 for a chicken Cesar salad and a small bottle of mineral water. Should have just gotten fast food as it would have been a better experience.
The place is not as bad, as many reviews suggest. Food is tasty, portions could be bigger, though. Staff is very friendly, but could clear the tables a bit more attentively. A shame that T1 has such a small food court, after all. Even the one at T4 is bigger.
Yes, the line was long, but that was to be expected. In these circumstances, you just need to be crafty - order 2 drinks at once and you’ll be absolutely fine. When I was served I was advised they were out of burger buns and that the burger would be served on sourdough. I decided to proceed anyway - and the burger was pretty yum, very good Smokey BBQ sauce. From a price perspective, I thought pretty satisfactory - I pay more for a glass of wine in the northern suburbs. I’d say I’ll be back but I’m not sure when I’ll next be at the airport, and in any event, it’s the only restaurant that’s open. I had a pretty good time here all things considered!
Food was nice pricey, but that’s airports for you. The food came out very quickly and was tasty. I gave three stars due to two key safety concerns. Firstly, staff members wore their masks on their chins or just over their mouths which is worrying for an airport. Secondly, my partner order his food to have the aioli dressing set aside as he is allergic to it but I will use it in my meal. They did set the aioli aside but they also left a smear of it on the bottom of his plate which he only discovered when he unearthed some chips while eating. Luckily we had allergy medicine nearby and he isn’t anaphylactic, but this could have gone south very quickly. Please pay more attention to people’s safety.
Don't know about the other reviews about the coffee here, it wasn't bad. Very friendly staff. Expensive yes, the prices in this airport is a joke.
