We strive to achieve this by making sure everyone who visits us has a unique and personal experience.Breeding animals is a key concern for us. And, in that regard, our Tasmanian Devil breeding program is of vital importance. This species is endangered in the wild because of an in incurable facial tumour disease. We had a great day here, friendly staff and friendly animals. It's not a fancy place if that's what your looking for buts it's got a fantastic selection of birds, animals, insects, etc for the price it's worth it. Got to hold a snake and a lizard at no extra charge. The animal handler was so lovely and full of information. Our favourite was the walk through kookaburras enclosure, what beautiful birds they are. Finished with an icecream and buying a soft toy from the huge selection in store again at a good price. Of course it was a kookaburra make sure you go when it's not to sunny so the animals are out, thanks for a great day.
Visited with grandson. Had a great couple of hours wandering around feeding and petting some of the animals. Walk through bird aviaries were fun with a couple of cheeky birds landing on us. A hands on snake experience as well .
Great range of birds, love the access too the petting zoo animals goats, babies, even a deer and a camel. Our toddler loved the kangaroo pen, the rangers will get out a python you can hold. Over all it’s a nice family experience.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Generally disappointing. The animals were in hot, dry, sandy enclosures. Some had rubbish in them. Some animals had injuries and missing feathers and fur - one ferret had a big open wound. Walking past the staff only area, there was A LOT of bread in carts. A lot of leaf litter, branches and feathers everywhere, bird enclosures didn’t look clean. Steps up to some enclosures eaten out. Maybe deceptive, but certainly not what I expected.
Great place with heaps of animals, great hands on experience with feeding some of the animals. There's toilets, a picnic area and plenty of exploring to do. Worth the price.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
This place has lots of different Australian wildlife but mostly birds in aviaries. A great place for young kids with some areas to pet and feed the animals. This is the first place I've seen a wombat as they are never seen at Perth zoo. The zoo is well maintained and kept quite clean too.
Ranger Red Zoo was amazing. The prices to get in and the close encounters with some of the animals was fantastic. The staff at the zoo was very friendly as wellVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

Great place to take the kids, close up to all the animals. Plenty of attractions throughout the day
Our family of 4 had a wonderful afternoon at this local zoo. Great variety of Australian animals from Tasmanian Devils to colourful birds. Lots of hands on experiences. The best part for us was the walk through bird aviary where the inhabitants were very friendly and chatty. This would especially be a great place if you have visitors from overseas!
