Story

The Peacock was built in 1854 by Horace and Edwin Bastings. The following year they sold it to the 21-year-old George Plant. Plant was to become synonymous with the Peacock, holding the license until his death in 1895. His widow, Catherine then took over the hotel license until 1910.

Today we strive to provide the very best and friendly service to our customers by going beyond customer expectations and doing that little bit extra to make a positive impact on your experience. At The Peacock, we pride ourselves on our great food and wine, prompt service and warm and friendly staff. Our desire is to make your visit a memorable one every time you visit us.

Peacock inn is a great vibe. I really like the live music in the beer garden, definitely a nice touch. Plenty of good beers on tap and great value. Will defs be going back

Fantastic hotel. Great vibe, really good food and moderately priced.  I definitely recommend this establishment for a quiet drink, or dinner with friends.

Very nicely presented pub with a very nice courtyard dining area. The indoor area is bigger than a standard pub. There were lots of patrons all enjoying the beverages. The food brought out to the patrons made my mouth water. The sun was pleasant in the courtyard, but remember to bring a jacket if it is windy.

Great range of craft beers. Good quality pub grub and reasonably priced. Chips accompanying meals just great.

Great food. New head chef I believe. Try the Chicken Curry, Broccolini a Eggplant Chips.... Delicious!!

Great pub food. Plenty of room inside and out back. Good for families with kids.

Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. The brisket was very tender and delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating, Very happy.

Nice place to have a drink and a meal. however the salt and pepper calamari was so salty that I couldn't finish it, a sentiment shared by others I was with. Almost inedible.
