Very modern pub experience. Customer service was great. The food wasn’t as good. Schnitzel was like the average. One batch of chips were full of crunch the other batch was rushed.Food: 3/5
Lovely Valentines dinner. Food was excellent and staff are friendly and attentive. Tables were decorated with flowers and red love hearts. Great pub food with good specials on offer. Sunday roast next time for us. Highly recommend Parking: Lots of parking with good wheel chair access
Great 'clean and modern' hotel with good staff and customer service. Food quality was brilliant and steak cooked perfectly. Ordered food to our table through the QR code App that lacked 'the Specials' so missed out seeing them. Also no room for comments so could not write things like 'no salad dressing' for example The Chef did a good job with the food.
Came here for an anniversary, was lovely atmosphere and they even put up balloons! The salmon was really nice as well as the fried chicken. They gave complimentary drinks to the couple. We got our food rather quickly. All around a great experience, except for the green chippies! Parking: There were quite a few spaces and the lot was well sized.
I thought the experience was quite enjoyable and the staff were quite friendly. The waitress apologised for the garlic cream sauce not being on point as they had a change of ingredients, offering to take it back if I did not like it. Being upfront about the situation is always good when dining. The garlic bread was to die for and my steak was perfect. I quite like the spacing in the bistro as it does not make you feel like you’re dining on top of each other.
Service #1, staff ever so accommodating. Food was very good and happy to have been given a choice of salad or veg along with chips. Have been a few times, this time was really nice. I love the okay area for the grandies, that's our draw card. Kid-friendliness: Great place for little people.

We held a fundraiser for Variety - The Children's Charity at the Payneham on Saturday 30th August. Matthew The Manager and his team at the Payneham Tavern were amazing. We had 100 people attend and all of them ordered meals and everyone said it was great food. The bar staff were friendly, happy and did an exceptional job with the large crowd. It is a great venue for a large event for the layout too. We held a similar event last year at the Payneham and it too was a great success but, this year was even better. Thank you staff and especially Matt and Naomi for all your help to make it such a great event. If you are thinking of holding a large event, choose the Payneham Tavern. Go and see Matt.
