been here twice now and both times it's been a knockout! the poke bowl with mushrooms was FANTASTIC - such an interesting mix of flavours that made every bite interesting. lots of vego/vegan options too which is always nice. great little brunch spot for a coffee and tasty meal
Beautiful location, right on the corner hence the name if you are sitting outside, you get to enjoy the cars passing the roundabout and the flowery scenery. Beautiful gardens nearby in which you could get a takeaway coffee and go for a stroll.nnMy husband and I have been here 2 times before this occasion and we have had the breakfast items, which have been very tasty.nnThis time around we had burgers from the brunch menu.nThe Crispy chicken and Paulie's beef burger.nnBoth were nice, but not wow. Although they look wow, and have the potential to taste wow. They both lacked seasoning and more flavour.nnWe have two juices, the Energise is delicious! And we ended on coffee .nGood coffee, but if you don't like it too hot make sure to ask because they made ours a bit too hot, which was hard to hold.nnOverall a good time and we will definitely be back, just a few things here and there.
The sour dough was fresh and tasty. We also had poached eggs. They were runny and tasty with sour dough. The serving of the Jam was generous.nnWe had 2 caps and the taste was well balanced. Overall, it was a good experience in doing breakfast there. Friendly staff and service.
Started off well.nOur orders were taken.nI ordered the eggs your way with poached add bacon. $15+$6nI also ordered an iced long black, and had to specifify no whipped cream or icecream. Strange for an iced long black.nnI am a sweet tooth when it comes to coffee, and rather unfortunatley the equal that i asked for in the coffee came on the side. The coffee that i ordered. Iced with some equal.nNeedless to say, it was not a pleasent drinking experience. Nothing dissolved.nnThe food came out very fast, which is unfortunatley the only good thing i have to say about it.nnThe toast was not only cold, one slice was half the size and soggy and the other was rock hard. The bacon was also cold. The eggs were well cooked but tiny.nPlease dont mind my excessive pepper use it is unfortunatley my favourite thing in the world.nnI was with a friend. She had a brekkie roll. She advised to get without the tomato as the bread was entirely soggy. Her food was also cold.n'Its like they made it, let it sit for ten minutes and then brought it out. That is what it tasted like.'nnShe finished her food before me, and the second she did her plate was cleared.nBoth of us have waitressing experience, and immediatley commented about how clearing plates while other people are still eating is a cardinal sin. I jest, but it was very awkward.nnIt was also worth noting that we had to ask three separate times for salt and pepper before it was provided.nnWhile we were there, we also witnessed a customer ordering who had to specify to the wait staff that she did not want to butter the toast herself and that the kitchen should. Very fair, as the food comes stacked unfortunatley onto the bread. I had to disassemble my entire plate to butter my bread and then reassemble. Also worth noting that my butter did not melt as the toast was cold.nnHopefully not everyones experience is like this.nnAlso appologies - i forgot to take a picture until after i started eating.
Paulie’s Corner is a buzzing cafe located in the heart of Wangaratta. It is brought to you by the same team as @luca.Wangaratta and @ava.milawa. nnThe menu features all day breakfast and lunch options, and we were so pleasantly surprised at how generous they were, you definitely don’t need to add extras! nn Crispy Fried Chicken Benedict - house made potato rosti, all flavours go perfectly together. Delicious! You can choose from salmon, pulled pork, fried chicken or bacon for the meat. One of my favourites for the year or maybe ever.n Chilli Scramble - there’s a lot going on with this dish, but the only thing I had an issue with was the texture of the egg. It could be because they cook it with a chilli jam that changes it, so maybe a chilli oil would be better?n Reuben Sandwich - YUM. Balanced. Perfect.nnThis is surely the best place in town to get a brunch fix. The staff are incredibly friendly and it was packed! Definitely grab a smoothie, we tried the Biscoff Banana and the Chai Banana which were both hits.
