Tastiest sausage rolls and party pies in Melbourne. Neenish Tarts are the best I’ve tasted. I buy 6 at a time when staying with family, and bring a container full home to Townsville.
Amazing place in a busy trip full of food choices…the bushman’s pie is the nicest pie I have ever tasted, like a beef bourginon pie, but better. Great range of pies for all tastes, great desserts/afternoon tea choices… so friendly. Our family loves this place.
Pie was very good can’t say the best pie I’ve ever had which is why I gave 4 stars, I would go back to this shop again to get more pies in the future. They have a good variety of flavours, and all the classics. The pie featured here is a chicken and veg which you could tell was homemade. It was chunky and the chicken was delicious. tender and fresh and the pie wasn’t oily and didn’t make me feel sick. The customer service is exceptional, the lovely ladies in there heated up the family size pie for me, it was also a very good price $16 approx AND to top it all off, it comes with a FREE apple pie which is also featured below. I thought this was a great touch. Very happy with my visit to this place.
This was my local bakery growing up, and I will always make sure to stop by any time I’m passing because they have the absolute GREATEST sausage rolls! Truly delicious. They also have a good variety of pies and sweets - I’m very partial to their lemon tarts and neenish tarts too.
Just had a pizza pie for lunch. Bloody fantastic !! Couple that with their jam & whipped cream donuts and some of the best coffee in the east side of Melbourne. Win win !!
This place has been around since at least the seventies, and has had several owners. What makes it great, is that every time it has been sold, the previous owners have been able to convince the new owners of the benefit of keeping the recipes, and the quality, the same. So Pauls Pies is still making the amazingly flavoursome pies, cakes and pastries it did when I was a kid. I can particularly recommend the bushmans, Thai curry, and pizza pies, and, of course, the sausage rolls, but everything is excellent. If I had not moved so far away for work, it would be hard not to go there every weekend, so it is great that they sell them cold as well.
Had a steak and bacon pie, didn’t quite taste right and the base was very over cooked so I didn’t finish it. Few hours later I was violently ill. Very concerning as I’m pregnant. I believe it was reheated multiple times as the base was very dark and dry and meat inside dry and expired

Great range of pies and other items. Value for money and full of filling. Nice to eat a pie with a strong base with flavour. Certinally one of my favorite pie shops
To be honest, I only ever get the Bushman's pie but it's the best pie I've ever had. It's chunky beef and veg. Always incredible.
