A good range of baked goods. However apparently not freshly made. The pain au chocolat was stale. The coffee was good.
Most expensive vanilla slice I've had, yet the worst I've had. The pastry was rock solid, way overcooked and the cream was bland. Friend also grabbed a strawberry tart, again overcooked shell and just really bland cream. The millionaire shortbread was about a 1.5/5 so better than the others.. just. What a joke to charge so much.
Do not go here. Uncooked creme brûlée being one example - looking at the reviews on here there are clearly plenty more. The customer service lady we called tried to say this is how is it meant to be. No, watery, uncooked custard is not how it is meant to be and can easily make someone really ill. Basic food standards.
Warm and flavourless milkshakes. They charge $6.00 but don’t add any ice cream. Cakes are usually stale and the coffee tastes burnt.
Used to love the pumpkin soup from here but it seems they never throw out their old stock. Last time I got pumpkin soup it was sour - thought it was a one off. Bought it again today and it’s sour again. Would be nice if the people who ran this bakery actually cared about their stock. However, if it’s not their fault and it’s something to do with the supply then I encourage this bakery to notify their supplier of stale soup and I will update my review. People could get sick.
Rude Rude staff and coffee that tastes like hot water. I am having friends over so I decided to buy some cakes the young girl serving clearly did not want to be there was about as friendly as a snake. I purchased a coffee and paid for extra shot what I got was burnt milk and hot water
it's a patisserie, on the pricey side of things. Cakes and what not are good but $7 for a chicken vegetable pie is quite steep free tomato sauce though
Nice and friendly staff and calm vibe
I had a great experience there. I love their pastry and cakes. I found that their pastries are fresher in the morning, rather than weekends or later in the day.
We bought the "Christmas cake" for a birthday party and it was the most expensive and disappointing cake I've ever eaten. For $60 I would have expected actual butter for frosting but it was made of oil that was hard and tasteless. The cake itself was dry and again tasteless, the only redeeming quality were the tiny bits of strawberries scattered throughout. Go elsewhere for a cake, even Coles or woolies does a better job.
