A nice place to come for breakfast or catch up for coffee. The pastry cabinet boasts all your sugary desires and the interior is spacious. The first time I came here was for my first ever croissant experience, and it could have been better if it was warm, but nice croissant.
We came here to pick up some sweets for a road trip. We have been to their Haberfield branch before. Lots of choices from sweets, pastries through to sandwiches and take home meals. The most disappointing part of our visit and how badly labelled the products are. There is a lack of price, description and dietary requirement signage. There is a big list of all product names on the back wall but again no description of any sort. It simply makes the customer service a lot more lengthy and awkward, having to ask their sales assistants what everything is, what flavour something is and how much it costs. Not all products are grouped together either, e.g baked vs sliced cheesecake are in different locations. We end up getting a baked ricotta cheesecake, a sliced ricotta cheesecake, vanilla and ricotta cannoli, various almond cookies and two fruit tarts. Baked vs. slice cheesecake is definitely a very different experience. Baked is more dough and resembles a donut. You taste the ricotta more in the slice form. The cookies were lovely, chewy and sweet, great with coffee even after 2 days. There were two different sizes cannoli but we were given the smaller ones. Again if there were labels, we would have requested what we wanted more easily. Ringing up out purchases were a mystery. Great products but marketing needs a lot more work
Quality has dropped. Disappointed with the cake today. Cake felt old as the base had become dense and doughy. Just be mindful to ask for a fresh one or they’ll give you an old one.
Got a cannoli tower, my advice is too get mini ones... as we got the normal size and they are just gigantic! But looks so good. The chocolate to stick them together is very thick... which I’m not a big fan of but might be good for keeping them in shape! It’s all for the photos right!
Ricotta cheese cake is decent but i bought a tiramisu from this shop on sat. And it was $33 for like 80% whip cream between the layers...just the ratio was off. Very expensive whip cream. Quite disappointing given the cheese cake was decent. Also service wasnt great. Everyone seems so unhappy to be there.
The ricotta cheesecake was delicious but the red velvet cake was really average. Had too many layers of cream and the sponge part was so hard in texture.
Best place to get birthday cakes! Also any thing you need from a bakery you will find here. It is affordable and definitely a family place. The staff are well manared and attentive. There is also parking on site Thank you for such a delightful experience.
A permanent sweets institution in the Inner West. Their baked ricotta cheesecake is a must try. It's like walking into sweets heaven in this shop. You'd probably spend more time and more money than expected. And that's not a bad thing. :
Always fresh and amazing desserts. Even with a long line the staff serve so professionally and quickly. If I lived closer I'd be there everyday
Disaster hit... I forgot my husband's birthday. Was 3pm and I had to save face. So I jumped on Uber Eats and ordered a black forest cake to be delivered from Papa. I put a request to have "Happy birthday Daniel" written on the box. They didn't do this, they instead added a chocolate handwritten note on fondant. Needless to say, these guys helped me overcome a rather embarrassing moment with a gorgeous cake. Thank you!
