Really enjoyed their coffee and a yummy lentil & carrot pie. My friends all enjoyed their meals too. This is a no-frills kind of caf, so it's nice that the food is tasty and the staff are friendly and laid-back. Bundeena is a pleasant little village to visit in Royal National Park - great swimming beaches and not-too-challenging scenic walks around the headland. :
A good local fish and chips shop
The most expensive fish and chips in the area including Sydney. And it wasn't good either. Oily and no taste. So over rated.... I had a large seafood basket which is cost about $31. Thinking it'd be enough for 4 people. It turned out it wasn't even enough for 2. The chips come in a small container, which is enough for one person. The rest was bits and pieces of seafood in a small container. What a ripped off. As soon as we got to the beach and open the bag, we're looking at each other. Are they serious ?? $31 for that ?? I can get so much better seafood in the area with much cheaper price..
Always our preferred stop in Bundeena. Proper burgers and fish & chips. Nothing pretentious, just great fresh food. The staff is also very friendly. Looking forward to my next trip down
Warm staff and quality food, that’s all you need : the toasties are good and large, I would recommend them. Need to come back for the burgers and the breakfast, but it seems promising. Good pricing.
We were probably quite annoying customers as we turned up just before they were due to close on a Monday. Good service anyway, and a very tasty and fresh burger. Good value, will go back. Thanks guys.
I have been eating at the Passionfruit Cafe for many years, and have always had a wonderful experience. The owners are very friendly and make sure to prepare my food with the utmost care and attention to detail. The place is always busy but the food never takes long to arrive. I love the atmosphere, the view of the park and the beach, and most importantly the food! In my opinion it's the only place in Bundeena worth eating at.
Haven't eaten the food i just received, but they are horrible for service . took over 35 minutes for me to get my 3 bacon rolls. this would be acceptable, apart from the fact that it was hardly buisy in the cafe.
The food is a little on the pricy side, and the staff are a bit young and confused. However, the food was delicious, the actual plate was big, the place is environmentally friendly brown paper bag, recyclable boxes and the wedges are a must-have! Overall, it was a good experience and a nice place to eat at, much better than one of its rival cafés down the road, Driftwood. Never go to driftwood! Passionfruit is good for takeaway and eat in.
The burger was a pretty lame excuse for a burger. Given that they have an amazing location they should really pick up their food game. If that were to happen they would see an influx of customers willing to empty their pockets.
