The vibe of a maths tuition school. Great if you like rote learning only. Don’t get me wrong, the teachers are really amazing dancers. But they have to cater to the students, who are extremely young, shy and prefer to dance like robots. Very stuffy inside with poor ventilation and desk staff lack social skills. Go here to learn technique through repetition but don’t expect to learn any musicality or, ironically, how to dance with passion :
Love the studio and love the community around here. I’ve tried different classes and the teachers are always helpful and knowledgeable. Jonathan for kpop and Vince for choreo stand out, along with Alec for house. A word of advice though, some of the beginner classes for me were a little challenging as a complete novice so they may be a bit overwhelming. However everyone is really supportive and it’s more about making your own personal progress in the end. Whether or not that’s your jam is up to you! I’ve never felt like I’m holding anyone back in harder classes with asking questions and there’s often many others in the same boat so you don’t feel out of place. Also, all-levels house with Alec lures you in with vibes and good lord is it a work out. It’s really quite tough even with the basic grooves so be sure to full send if you’re curious about trying it out. The unlimited class pass for 35/w lets you do as many classes as you want and even if you take just two you’re already saving money. I wish studio 2 was a little bigger, but what’s being done with the space is great as is!
Don’t ever go here. My partner came in to learn how to dance for the first time, but no one helps you. ITS A SCHOOL, TEACH DANCE. Anyone wanting to come here to learn, don’t.
It's not the best studio of Melbourne. It's the best studio of Australiaand this is not an exaggeration. Good location, awesome atmosphere, amazing teachers. Really good vibes. The teachers are always happy to help and they are pushing you to improve everyday. I highly recommend it. Don't hesitate, it's inside the Free Tram Zone.
Took my first ever KPOP dance class tonight. The class itself was awesome, great energy, tutor is always asking questions and rotates rows so everyone gets a fair share of seeing the movements up close. The only downfall is the size of the rooms. There isn't much space but they do have the A/C running which is great. Would definitely love to be back for another session!
I have to agree with Nin Lao. The beginner classes in this studio aren't really for absolute beginners. As an absolute beginner, I felt that the choreography taught by the teacher was far too advanced for a beginner class. It was too fast for me and I felt left behind. I also didn't like the size of the studios, I felt they were too small.
Having the best time learning from all amazing teachers who are not only talented and skilled but also very patient with beginners The unlimited pass is also such a good affordable option for someone like me who wants to try everything and know will do more than a few classes a week Staff are also very helpful and friendly
Oh boy, this Studio. They Constantly pump out music Monday to Saturday very very loudly you can hear across the road and up to 300 metres away maybe further. I couldn't care less about the Classe's or anything else. They do not need to put the volume all the way up. They have absolutely zero regard for anybody living or working nearby if they did they would lower the volume. To the staff and owners of this Place called Passion. Lower the volume until you can't hear it outside of the building. Please! it's really irritating!
