Really clear water on a beautiful day. Good place to swim and relax with plenty of space for a picnic. Snorkeling is below average as there isn't much marine life as other places along the coast.
As my photos hopefully show, this is a quaint and quality little oasis that is really worth stopping by for a bit of a rest and relaxation, and definitely ideal for a swim, especially when kids are involved. A kiosk and public amenities make it an a+ location for families... As for me, I am a solo older man, and it suited me fine. I enjoyed the table, the shade, my conversation with my Meetup acquaintances and watching parents with their kids brought a smile to my face and a warmth to this old guy's heart... Grab a basket, some yummy food, a ground blanket and wander down... you won't be disappointed
Have been here a few times for family picnics. Love the bay as it is quite secluded with a very small crowd around. A nice place to do a little hike with the bridge being an added bonus. Car parking is an issue if you arrive after 10am. You would need to park on the street and then either walk across the bridge or walk down the road leading to the bay.
Quiet secluded park with beach access. Parking adjacent. Plenty of picnic benches. Swingset with toddler swing. Multiple climbing gyms to accomodate many ages. Toilet and shower facilities available. Cafe nearby.
Amazing place, beautiful views, please don’t bring your rubbish here! this place is kind of sanctuary and a lot of people don’t feel any respect for it! Dogs TOTALLY PROHIBITED!
Great location to take your little one/s with heaps of grass and shallow gradient sand into the water. Good play ground as well. Plenty of shady areas too. Only challenge is you need to get down early to park in the small car park there, probably before 8.30am or try your luck during the day.
Was here Christmas Eve. There were warning signs all over. Sewerage contamination from nearby beach. Warnings as to not swim. What a pity. This place is usually so beautiful but was bit of a let down! Still def worth a visit !
I really enjoying walking along the edge of the water taking in the nature. The water the woods and the wildlife along the path is a memerable experience. Restrooms: Clean public bathrooms available. Picnic area: Excellent area for picnics.
There's that fulfilling feeling , the number of times I have been on the adjoining overhead bridge, looking down at the people in Parsley Reserve... today I got my turn... I was not disappointed. Lovely spot for lunch and to rest. I was on a walk from Watsons Bay to Rose Bay ... a handy cafe and toilet makes for an excellent stopover spot.
Great place for a gathering with friends or family. There is parking, but the carpark can get full on weekends, so be early. If you know the area well, you can park on different streets and walk down to the reserve. There are toilets, a Cafe, and limited benches and tables. No dogs are allowed here. There is a netted swimming area which you can access from the beach, or you can walk around on a path and walk into the water of a ramp.there is a small jetty here as well. A beautiful bridge spans the bay, great place to relax and take in the scenery.
