Very spacious and well-planned public library suitable for all community. Separate sections for new releases, foreign languages and children’s library. DVDs available for hire. Recommended for a visit next time in Parramatta Square
A very modern and stylish space for people to study, research, learn or relax. A well thought out space design for traditional or digital engagement. Whilst it doesn’t have the feel of a 1990’s library, it well and truely facilitates the needs of modern learning, lots of desks and space to accommodate individuals or small groups. Located close to the station, the building is welcoming and clean.
I’m quite disappointed with my recent experience at Parramatta Library. Despite being a space meant for quiet study and reading, several members were speaking loudly and even engaging in video calls in the publicly accessible areas. It was disruptive and made it difficult to concentrate.nnUnfortunately, there seemed to be no staff intervention, which only encouraged the noise to continue. A library should be a place of respect and quiet, and I hope stricter enforcement of noise policies can be introduced to maintain an appropriate environment for all users.
Stylish library with lots of patrons! There are many seats but there are also many visitors so you might have a hard time finding a place to sit comfortably.nnStill, the library is a great place to study, read, relax and pass the time.
Central location, easy to get to. Great collection of both physical and ebooks.nSpacious, well laid out and comfortable seating with enough desk chairs to quietly sit and work, if required, with free Wi-Fi.
