Absolutely recommended! The Parramatta Lake Walk is a fantastic trail to rejuvenate and take in the stunning views of the lake and its lush surroundings. Spanning 4.6 km, it typically takes between 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. There are numerous lookout points along the way, and free parking is available in the nearby areas. Highly recommended!
A bushwalk you'd never expect to find in the middle of a busy district like Parramatta. It was a full round walk that followed the outline of the lake. Interestingly, there are two ways to do this walk. One is doing a bushwalk following the natural trails of the bush, or you could take the flat dirt road which might be ideal if you just want to jog or walk without going through the bush. There is a cafe at the end of the walk where you can have a lovely cup of coffee or tea. The full circle walk took us 1 hour 45 mins.
This is a decent little walk around the river, some rocks that you need to climb up and down from, slippery in some spots, but great views all around, perfect for a winter hike to get away from the city.
What can I say. What a fabulous park. I'm stunned by the walk around here so close to Sydney. The walk around the lake was awesome. Some parts of the track is pretty uneven so you may need steady feet. But quite a spectacular walk.nnI can see the parking here get pretty crazy as there are not many spots. The google maps tried to take me through a private road owned by the kings school so you have to enter from the southern side.nnSwimming is available here but only when lifeguards are in duty probably in summer. Decent amount of green space and BBQ in the area.
What a wonderful walk!nnSmall hikes, scenic views, and plenty of parking. It is a perfect place to plan picnics, hikes, or family outings.
