As an international student pursuing a PhD, I am facing significant challenges in enrolling my children in an intensive English course at Parkwood Primary School. Despite the law stipulating that my children should be treated as local students, the school principal has repeatedly refused their admission into Year 2 and Year 6. This situation has persisted for two months, leaving my children in an educational limbo. The school's refusal to provide a formal rejection letter further complicates matters, as it prevents me from taking necessary steps to address the issue or seek alternative solutions. The lack of acceptance and clear communication from the school is deeply frustrating and is hindering my children’s educational progress. I will not stay silent towards this injustice and will claim my children's right to education, ensuring they receive the opportunities they deserve.
Teachers seem ok, grounds are good. Only drama is pickup and drop off, parking is terrible as is some of the parking..
Student here in 2006. Don’t remember many specific details or names but I do associate it with a positive feeling. Attended for a few months until they realised my English was adequate. I was then transferred to Carlisle Primary School.nnThis school is a real melting pot of cultures and nationalities. It serves a role in allowing young children from international backgrounds to harness a better grasp of the English language. The teachers appear to be very caring and sensitive.
Ex student here for the English program in 2013, Well organized facility and friendly teachers. Especially the canteen was great
Staff and Teachers at Parkwood genuinely care for, and work hard for each of the students at this school. Each of our kids all loved attending this school over the past ten years. School grounds and building could however all do with some regular maintenance and a good spring clean though. LOL
