The service was great.nBed was comfortable.nAmenities were good.nLocation is perfect.nnBuffet breakfast was really good. I especially loved the juice machine. It was really busy though, was already packed at 6:20 and the scrambled eggs were already empty. The bacon was cold and hard. I think someone left the lid open, but everything else was great, and there was a good variety.nnMy only real complaint is the light. The light gap in the door is so huge that it renders the great block out curtains on the windows useless.nThere was so much light coming through the door.nThen, the smoke alarm is directly above the bed and flashes very bright every 30 seconds. The bright flashing kept waking me up. The lcd screen near the door is also so bright and can't seem to turn it off.nnOverall, I had a pleasant stay, but I didn't really sleep great because of all the light.nnI'd definitely stay again, but I would bring something to try and block out the door gap and smoke alarm lights
The check in process took way longer than expected and I'm not sure what was going on as the last wasn't really explaining the hold up. She also charged a really strange amount to our account for a holding deposit, using card details that had been taken at the time of booking. She said this would be released as soon as we checked out, but it wasn't. My husband then heard another man at reception tell his customer that it would take up to 4days to be released.nWe paid for a room upgrade. The room was nice and looked newly decorated. The aircon made annoying clicking sounds though. Not sure what the more basic room would have been though, not sure what the upgrade got us.nWe were celebrating our anniversary so the hotel delivered a note and a dessert to the room which was a nice gesture, but I'm gluten intolerant so was unable to eat it, maybe a voucher for the bar would be a better option, although the gesture was appreciated, it just seemed like a waste to deliver something that would then just have to be thrown out.nThe hotel was in a good, central location. The parking was $40 which seems a bit expensive.nStaff in the hotel bar were nice, drinks were ok. There's a happy hour from 5pm-7pm every day.nThe bed was really comfy, would have liked a selection of pillows though as I found them u comfortable but my husband really liked them. The bathroom was really nice but the water pressure in the shower was terrible, and there was no shampoo, just 2 lots of hand/body wash and a conditioner.nThe room service menu looked good, would be nice to have some gluten free options on the late night menu though.nOverall not a bad stay but also nothing to rave about.
We stayed here for 5 days. The overall experience was good, centrally located. The rooms are recently refurbished, which is good. Some improvements required reception staff need welcoming training, breakfast need some rotational menu instead of same everyday, pool need regular cleaning checks, water mixers in bath need proper adjustments.
I originally booked at the Mantra Parramatta and the place was so vile my company arranged a last minute booking here. I was so happy to arrive, the service, the hotel was a huge relief. I loved my room, clean, new, fresh. The restaurant was nice and breakfast was good for $30. I was very happy with my stay here, lovely staff too.
The rooms were beautifully refurbished and of top quality. However, the shower water temperature was way too hot, even when I turned on the cold water. I mentioned this to the check-in staff, but they said it had been checked and was working fine. Clearly, it hadn’t been fixed. I do like a hot shower, but this was really uncomfortable.nnOn a different note, my room door was left ajar after it had been cleaned. This made me a bit worried about security, especially since there had been a previous hotel break-in where my room was used for a drug party.nnThankfully, I was leaving the next day, as these two issues worried me.nnOverall, the hotel was lovely, and I’d probably not recommend it to a family with small children, due to the hot shower.
