I went here today as a local living here, on this public holiday as my usual choices weren’t available. Unfortunately this felt like a tourist trap experience. I paid $24 for what you see and waited 45min to get my meal. I can acquiesce this goes with the territory, and holiday/tourist period, but it doesn’t justify to me the poor quality after a long wait at this price; I seemed to be severed powders eggs. There’s a cafe around the corner with a breakfast burger and coffee deal for half the price, quarter of the wait and 3 times better quality; a higher standard is possible. There is a great view from the dinning area and it’s super convenient being in the shopping centre…so perhaps more value for someone visiting.
Service is a little grudging. Never been to a place where serviettes are not in a common area, or just wrapped around cutlery. Only came there for a milkshake as had been trying to find one for 24 hours, and definitely did not want to go to maccas. Not my usual drink of choice at all. Prices have gone up since I last visited 3 years ago. My pancake was nice and the milkshake was nice, fatty and cold lol Not the best pancake diner I’ve been to, but happy I got my milkshake.
Are kitchen staff supposed to use their hands once pancakes are cooked? I suppose to tell if they hot, except the pancakes arrive lukewarm so that clearly doesn't work. It was busy which I understand however I'm sure that's not an excuse for not clearing the table or providing cutlery to customers. Often I saw the wait staff looking around, I assume for things to do, but missed seeing tables that needed to be cleared or that people waiting for meals had no cutlery. Drinks were served within a reasonable time frame. Friends said their meals were nice.
Pancakes here are exactly what you'd expect, they are warm, sweet and decadent. The crepes were doughy and disappointing. Milkshakes are par for the course.
Enjoyed getting morning tea at this beautiful diner in Coolongatta. Located in The Strand shopping centre, on Marine Parade Coolongatta, on the same level as Woolworths. Staff are friendly, restaurant was clean with beautiful views to the beach, and I loved the old fashioned American diner tables and chairs. We had milk shakes and coffees here twice, then came back for dinner on Thursday night, when they have their 2 for the price of 1 main meals special. Group of 7 adults and we enjoyed our meal
Food is over priced and chrap the best thing was wacth the vacuum cleaner. It was very polite wait for other people to leaver cleaning the tablets Never disturbing us. I had a chicken burgers that was way to dry and burnt bun tasted stalled.
Fantastic food and great portion sizes. Customer service was excellent with the option to order at the counter or from the table app. Two up deal on Thursdays, two meals for the price of one; gets even better with $5 long neck beers. We will definitely be returning customers. Great work guys!
What a surprise find, pancake diner! all u can pancake for $10 is good deal , however, best deal is on Thursday from 5 pm, 2 for 1 deal!! mate & I had full rack of rips, chips, coleslaw for $40! Juicy tender meat just fell off the bones, delicious sauce and chips. Coleslaw wasn't a coleslaw. it was couple of lettuce leaves with cucumber, tomatoes with coleslaw dressing. a bottle of wind between us for $15, what a great deal. I was so full. I had to try a desert pancakes. it was also 2 for 1 deal at $19. It was delicious. Good service by the crew. fantastic food, great deal at $74 for both of us. we walked out of the place so satisfied. so so good.
Came here for my birthday and had the best pancakes of my life!! The food here is epic. We went to Timezone afterwards with was a 1’minute walk.Recommended dishesLong Stack Pancakes
Great place to grab a meal. Very handy location. Great view of the beach. Service was very good and our meals arrived quickly. Fairly basic menu but plenty of options and food was excellent and great value for money. Staff were friendly and provided good service. They do takeaway as well.
