Date/time of visit: 13 June 2022 at 9:15pm approx Stopped in for a light meal after a movie. The venue had a good relaxing atmosphere. The food was good. I was a little concerned the crepe had been burnt on the top but it didn't taste like it - just crispy. The food was good and consistent with previous visits over the years except for the crispy crepe top - don't remember if that's normal. Public holiday surcharge was 15%. Price of the beef mexican crepe and chicken Mexican crepe felt a little high without the surcharge - it's an enjoyable meal but the price point just a little high for what it is and what you get. But this is the way with dining out these days and we'll have to be mindful of such costs. Because of the cost factor I've dropped it to 3 stars. Pancake Parlour is good and enjoyable, nothing wrong with the food, staff were friendly and helpful but pricing just a tad high for what it is. I would like to give 4 stars and would have done so sometime ago.
The perfect place for late hangouts with friends. It has a nice vibe, friendly staff and good food! Though primarily a pancake place, my favourite dish is the cottage fries but the pancakes are good too!.
Honestly, quite disappointed in the presentation and quality of the food. With the price, I could go to any local cafe to get better quality and cheaper. But they do have great staff and custom service. Sadly, this Pancake Parlour hasn't got one of those funny music clocks that play every hour. Thought I could bring the kids there to entertain.
I like it here, have visited multiple times with my partner and some of the staff are fantastic and were very kind when remaking one of my hot chocolates. They always seem to be understaffed though and there can be wait times on ordering or waiting to pay but we have always been in the late evening so are never in any type of rush. I quite like one of the managers too she seems to organise her team well. Will continue to come for hot chocolate dates here. :
Food was good. Ordered Chicken Schnitzel, Barramundi and Cajun Chicken Salad. The Tiramisu was good too. Staff was very attentive and polite. Portion was big and for some items on the menu, there is a entry side small. This will not be stated on the menu. You can see it on the mobile app of pancake parlour or you cam check with the staff.
Yumm... love their pancakes, savoury crepes and their drinks. Friendly staff too! I'm gonna keep going here.
Pancakes were nice as usual. But wedges are more expensive than city prices. This bowl of wedges was just over $7 with just over $4 for the chilly sauce. They were kinda soggy too.
Two of us ordered the $29 pancake lasagne thinking it was going to be something special and filling but when it came out we were left feeling absolutely robbed. It was 2 small pancakes on top of one another, nothing in-between them, a piece of thin ham, tiny bit of melted cheese and half a ladle of bolognese sauce. The remaining 2/3 of the plate was leaf greens to make the plate look full, no tomatoes & a couple of other green veggies. For $29 you're creeping into steak meal prices! Not to mention my pepsi max was watered down so much there was no fizz to it! Ended up eating fast food after as we were still hungry!!! Never eating at a Pancake parlour restaurant again
My friends and I are big fans of pancakes, so what better place to go? My current favourite is their chocolate jubilee and their caramel malt. Not a huge fan of their chips though. Their portions are great, pricing is reasonable, their staff are very friendly, and the food comes out very quickly. Absolutely recommend.
After a nice night my partner and I decided to go to the pancake parlour knox. We were seated only given 1 menu so took us a but longer to look through, after 2 min asked what we wanted to eat and we said just give us 2 minutes as we hadn't finished looking and he walked off and said he would be back. We were sitting there for 25 minutes trying to get his attention and nothing. The staff there were just hanging around waiting for something to happen when they could have been helping the server. We ultimately left and will not be returning.
