I've seen all the reviews, and I must be eating in a different place, but then again I did hear that they've changed ownership and no longer owned by Spurs. As a farther with 5 kids, this is one of the best places I've had the pleasure of dining with the family. The food is AMAZING - order the combo oven bake - two cannelloni and a slice of lasagna baked in the plate with a healthy serving of cheese - YUM! My wife ordered the chilli crab pasta - amazed by the generous portions of prawns, but then again generous portions in everything they serve. The waitress was so fantastically enthusiastic I had to tip her $20. The kids get to play with real dough whist waiting for the food to come out. Keeps them entertained and out of my hair the Mrs loves that. Finished the night off with a big chocolate mud cake. Twice I've had a similar experience here. This is the new place I bring my family here on. We had an awesome night.
Awful,they were good once,now they are terrible. Over priced, slow to serve, slow for the food, it all came out at different times. My daughters pasta tasted like a TV dinner and I know good pasta, my hubbie is a chef. The steaks were badly cooked, over done, pale, no flavour and mine had a piece of gristle running down the middle. They were supposed to be fillet steaks, certainly not like the fillet my butcher does. The salad was tiny, the chips were not properly cooked and were pale and just awful. I have no idea why this place has gone to the dogs but it has. I'll never eat there again. Way too expensive.
Great staff, friendly experience. This one lady I think she’s the owner super super nice. Best part is my 3 year old son gets bored coming to restaurants and they now give children dough to play and form, then bake it for you. Good thinking guys. Only minor complaint is that I’m not a huge fan of pizza or pasta in general which unfortunately eliminates over 70% of the menu I would have at least expected a risotto in an Italian restaurant, and I do love the veal schnitzels but only available weekends??? Come on guys. It’s not really their fault, Macarthur square does have a wide range of restaurants to choose from, but sometimes my family decides they want Italian. There’s only one thing I ever order there and like very much, it’s the pumpkin base prosciutto pizza. Well done guys.
The pasta was absolutely terrible. Tasteless and drowning in to much sauce. My husband's was the same. Supermarket frozen pastas are better. The sevice was excellent though. The waitress could see I was struggling and came over and offered me another dish. I switched it with a pizza which was ok but it was nice of them to do that and not charge me for that pasta.
I ordered a lasagna and I watched them put it in a microwave it looked and tasted like a frozen dinner meal, actually I probably could have brought one from coles that tastes way better and for $20 less. The meat was pure mush and nearly made me feel sick, the sauce was pink I couldn’t eat it I had to get it take away so my date didn’t get offended. My partner ordered pulled pork pasta or something like that with garlic sauce and all I could taste was watery garlic it had no other flavour besides water and garlic. The pork was so squishy it tasted like it came from a can if that’s possible? We also got chicken tenders for a starter and they where pretty good but nearly priced at $15 and it comes with 6 round chicken strips completely overpriced. Everything was way too overpriced for what it was had to wave someone over to order drinks and food, our food got taken to the table at the other end of the table lucky they said it wasn’t theirs or we would have had to wait even longer for them to microwave it all again, we ate and no one came up to us until we had to wave another person down to find out how to get the bill. Will never eat here again.
Love this place! Food is always good and staff are excellent, if and when I've ever had a problem they are very apologetic and eager to please! Love the new menu, but it's missing a few of my favorites so please bring them back! Mediterranean Pizza! Thai Chicken Pasta!
Starter was good cheese garlic bread. For mains, my schnitzel was frozen not fresh and really chewy, supermarket quality food I could have gotten myself for $5 instead of $24. My grandmother's pizza was burnt, couldn't eat the base. My mother's pasta was so spicy that you couldn't taste any of the flavours. Staff were friendly but not attentive. All in all wouldn't be coming back.
We went today for a nice family lunch. We were told we could do split bills. Fantastic! The young waitress came to our table and took our orders.... Got them wrong when read back to us. Our orders arrived. Our starter the chorizo mozzarella bread sticks were surprisingly nice although mostly watery sauce and not much meat. My parents received the wrong beer apparently they had none left of what was ordered so they just served a different brand - really!! No ice in the drink requested - ice was received twice! Almost all ice and no drink. Our large cheese pizza was served with hair cooked inside!!!! My pasta was not great but edible. Pesto chicken penne. No chicken. You couldnt call it chicken. Chunks of deli ham cubes instead. Tuscan pasta - was so unsatisfying and awful to taste my husband didnt eat it nor did anyone else on the table. Way overpriced food and horrible service. Polite staff to some extent but just awful experience. When paying for the bill. My bill had a drink on it that wasnt ours. My brother had a drink that he never received. My parents had extra drinks charged when they were sent back and returned incorrectly. I was told by the staff at the counter that "we dont split bills usually because it makes this part very difficult" Just terrible
Went here as a group, we were well looked after, Pizza's were delicious, there was a constant contact with staff. One waitress wished us all a merry christmas, after her shift ended. It was a nice thing to happen. Will return again.
Should of trusted the reviews, First thing got there with my 2 girls waited to be seated,not long that's ok. Not even half the restaurant was full. Took my order for one kids pizza and one half large pizza with three Coke's, waited 40 mins and asked the young man how long till our food will be ready. He laughed and said 40 mins. So we left, Never to return.
