Everything was amazing. From the staff, to the room, to the cleanliness and then there’s the location, it was a sensational place to stay. Meeting pickles at reception was a bonus! Such an awesome place and would highly recommend it to anyoneRooms: 5/5
I really enjoyed staying here. The staff were super helpful and accommodating. The rooms are really nice as well. Good facilities and comfy beds. Comes with everything that is needed. A very nice peaceful spot to stay. I recommend to anyone.
Only downside and I am struggling to find one is hanging space for towels etc. It is a hot climate so you use the pool so there are extra towels, bathers etc. Could be easily solved by having a fold up clothing rack in the wardrobe. Apart from that everything is great. Pickles, the bird who is a part of reception, was a lovely surprise. Will definitely stay here again. Walkability: Very good. Easy to walk to many cafes, the city mall, the waterfront etc Food & drinks: Supermarket and many hotels, cafes etc close walking distance away
My family of 6 absolutely loved staying for a week at The Palm City Resort. It is so well maintained with a beautiful tropical vibe throughout the entire resort. All staff were always smiling, happy to accommodate any request and genuinely cared about your holiday experience. The buffet breakfast is a must eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, juices, danish, teas all 4 children tastes were catered for and we really didn't need to eat again until the afternoon. It is quiet and tranquil and we walked across to the centopath for the ANZAC dawn service. A very short walk to Coles aswell. I couldn't fault this place. My only suggestion would be to have recycling bins around resort or in rooms to be more sustainable.
Always a pleasure to stay here. My latest stay was solo due to needing to come to Darwin for emergency dental work, so i stayed in a hotel room, which was freshly renovated. Cant wait to see the bungalows after their renovations. I was quite unwell, but the staff were so kind and caring. Even though I spent most of my stay recuperating in bed, it is only a short walk to everything I needed chemist, coles, food places etc.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Recently renewed, great service, great location. Cheeky bird on receptionists shoulder. Thank you. Rooms: My room 287 recently renewed n great aircon n ceiling fan. Nearby activities: Just around the corner to Main st or walk bridge to waterfront or visitor information. Walkability: Very walkable.
Fabulous stay for 3 nights after The Ghan. So glad I chose here instead of one of the Hyatts…..Nice surprise at the renovation I must have seen older photos when booking they’ve done a great job. Would most definitely recommend a stay here. Staff insanely good especially Pickles Rooms: Comfortable beds. Nearby activities: Darwin Hotel nearby for food and drink options. Walkability: Easy access to the Cenotaph for Anzac Day Memorial on the beautiful Esplanade…also good access for Town centre. Food & drinks: Lovely breakfast provided for a great price!
During my four-night stay at Palms City, I had a bad experience. Although I had low expectations from hotels in Darwin, I was disappointed with the essential services provided by the hotel. My main concerns were as follows: Firstly, the hotel did not inform me about any changes in room conditions or renovation issues upon my arrival. Although I was willing to be flexible and adapt to any conditions, my room was not ready when I arrived due to ongoing renovations. The hotel then offered me a smaller bathroom, which I did not request. We were offered a refund of $220 and a free breakfast during our stay. However, the breakfast closed on Monday morning without any notice. The staff said the chef needed a day off, which is understandable, but we should have been informed about it. As customers, we have the right to choose the hotel, room, and services for ourselves, and the hotel should inform us of any changes and notices. We are requesting that they do so, and we are not alone in this request. Secondly, the bathroom had poor drainage, and after taking a shower, the water would stay for at least 30 minutes to an hour, making it impossible to take another shower. Additionally, there was a bad smell coming from the toilet, indicating that it was not being cleaned or was overflowing. The hotel should not have taken guests if there were facility issues like this. The small room size and bathroom issues were frustrating, and I would have preferred more space, which I had booked previously. However, we were not given the chance to choose a room when we arrived. On the last day of our stay, during breakfast on Tuesday, I noticed that the vanilla slice was "off", which I found mould. I spoke to the chef and requested a replacement. Unfortunately, I had complaints about my experience from the very first day until the last day of my stay in this hotel. As a result, I don't think I'll be returning to this hotel. However, I feel it's important to share my experiences with others and the hotel management. I will share my feedback as much as I can. You can do better than this, so please take some action.
It was unreal! The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable. Feby at reception was friendly and accommodating. Excellent customer service!Rooms: 5/5
Absolutely appalling the fact we paid all this money for a nice night out for New Year’s eve and our anniversary only to be told that apparently we hadn’t paid ? then paid the $150 security deposit. We get handed our room key then when we arrive to our room other peoples belongings were on our verandah we go back to reception only to be told we were double booked and the only room they had was the standard room and oh they can chuck in a bottle of wine for the price we paid for the villa. Absolutely appalling customer service and organisational skills
