Enjoyed a great lunch here. The slow cooked pork was absolutely delicious. Expensive, but worth the money. Setting is quite nice, very casual. Service, didn't get to sit in the restaurant area, so had the bar service, but they still brought the food to your table.
The most salty Pad Thai I have ever tasted. We came in a big group of 2 tables on Fri 2-Aug lunch time and everyone who ordered the same dish as mine had the same complaint. Not coming back again based on that first time experience. I think the management should pay attention to the quality of food they serve to keep a good reputation.
Great vibe at lunch time, great quality Thai food. Sunlight penetrates through the building nicely. Great layout.
Ordered a burger and chips for lunch. The kitchen had an order delay and slightly overburnt the patty and the bun. The chips still have a frozen after taste. Not a great meal and with credit card surcharge + group of 10 penalty charge - this simple burger meal costed $25! Should have gone to Rockpool.
A fun and funky place for leaving do’s, after work drinks or pre-theatre nibbles. Very much a young person’s place – that said we didn’t feel at all out of place when we had drinks here for some friends leaving do. Noisy a bit but then it does cater for hundreds of people across several different concessions inside the building.
This is a good casual city bar, best on a warm night, popular for after work drinks but also most suitable for relaxed unpretentious dining. Friendly and efficient bar staff and also table service. Plenty of drink choices and food menu has range of options for decent meal or just grazing. Ordered their 300gram steak and was most impressed, perfectly cooked to order and a quality cut of flavoursome tender meat. Will return.
Really cute place for after work drinks and snacks! But our experience was a bit disappointing as we went there for their happy hour special but ended up not being able to get anything on the special. Ordered a glass of house Chardonnay and despite having a $6 wine happy hour special, Chardonnay wasn’t on it, which is quite odd. Their website also said they’d have $6 snacks on happy hour but when we asked the bartender they said there was no food on the happy hour special. Maybe consider updating the website and being more specific about what wines are on happy hour.
Really nice venue and friendly bar staff with a generous happy hour and great drink selection which is reasonably priced. The food menu is a bit overpriced and over complicated though so are many spots in the vicinity. Also gets a bit of noise from ivy next door when they have events on which can be a little overwhelming. Would recommend for a drink, especially on a weeknight after work. Probably better options in the area for food or a weekend gig.
I had the most amazing night here! I went for dinner with some friends for my birthday and the food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Our beautiful waitress noticed that it was my birthday and kindly brought out a delicious self-saucing chocolate pudding, complete with a candle! Thanks team for making my birthday really special.
Not a bad place for lunchtime, buzzy and standard steak/ fish fare. Have been told the Thai options are decent. The open roof and light give it an outdoor feel. Nice staff and pretty quick turnaround for business lunch. Shame it is in the Ivy building, the lifts absolutely reeked of vomit...someone had a few too many the night before perhaps?
