Great service, and great atmosphere. The extended bar and beer gardens are reminiscent of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We had Bacardi on the rocks, We shared a plate of fish and chips. The fish was fresh local whiting with the taste of the sea, the chips were crunchy outside and soft within. The slaw salad was tasty and refreshing. This was the best lunch I've had in a while.
Historical building with a ton of history. Converted for newbies to enjoy the views of the dunes with their pets and others to sit and have a yarn. Have had the octopus which was amazing. No longer on the menu. The crispy pork. The salmon which was a little dry. White bait. And the seniors lunch specials. Worth taking parents or grandparents here. Nice atmosphere.
Friday night is date night, and our first time popping by to enjoy a meal at the Palais. We were not disappointed. We enjoyed 2 vegan options the eggplant parmi and the roasted cauliflower both were really really good. We will certainly be back! The staff were bubbly and helpful and the location is perfect. Only thing that could improve the experience is a few more vegan options added to the menu. Well done guys and thank you for a great experience.
Great seating area sat outside with our puppy friendly, helpful and efficient staff and the food was amazing! Oysters tasted great and the schnitzels were delicious, perfectly crisp and the chips and salad on the side were delicious as well!! Definitely recommend to eat here!
The Palais is such a picturesque spot, boasting a grand frontage as you approach and and amazing summer outside area to enjoy cocktails and drinks as the sun sets over the beach. In winter, the venue is still quite nice inside, however very cold in the extended indoor/outdoor eating area. The food was really delicious and well presented. The drink specials on the board weren't as shown and a bar staff member was quite inattentive, poured mid strength beer as the beer special, didn't follow through with a request for more seating and for a venue that would clearly struggle for business during the winter months, this was a negative. But the other staff seemed quite friendly and in all it was a nice visit.
Good food and fast service. Being right next to the beach there’s lovely views. Was a bit confusing where to enter the bistro via but other than that a good experience. Small car park for off street parking available.
November 2022 I've been here plenty of times. Probably at least once or twice in a month. The food is always very good, oysters, burgers, pizza, buffalo wings etc plenty to choose and to recommend because the food is delicious. One of our guests is a Doctor and his first time here, he enjoyed his food. I normally place my review months after, but last week visit was memorable. One of the best service I had here in Australia. My husband and I worked in 7* hotel where we value customers and always want them to return thus, we always deliver not the good service but exceed expectations service. Well, Rhea delivered superb service and exceeded my expectations. Waited for my order while everyone having their lunch, she apologized and served a nice and delicious salmon and as a gesture of goodwill I did not have to pay for it. This service I used to see in a luxury hotels. The best food, the best service, the best location. Highly recommended and will be back soon. July 2022 One of my favorite place, our local Bistro. The food is the best, the service is casual, simple and quick. Been here countless of times have to take a photos of the area next visit.. soon.
Best spot near beach in Adelaide on any day of the week. Love it Delicious pizza, chips and my favourite chicken wings. Perfectly made barista coffees and Babyccinos Pro tip: Check the website for specials. Strongly recommended, Must Go
Friendly service, clean tables. Partner liked the party, said side salad was great and was happy with gravy although not the thickest! Love chicken burgers try them all over Adelaide. Chicken crumb was 10/10. Found it overall a little dry even though the freshest avo and ingredients needed a little more Mayo or something. Still 10/10 for both meals. Good work to the venue lovely afternoon spent out in the sunshine love the outdoor area
Been coming here as local Semaphorian for many years and overall the food and service has been consistently high. Delicious, good quality produce, great presentation and pride is served from the highly organised kitchen team. Manager Simon and staff are absolutely terrific with hospitality and helpfulness. If you're not happy with something, being reasonable they will sort it out without a problem. A Semaphore staple by the seaside with a great vibe. Huge screen TV for sport lovers resides in a separate area. Love the new outdoor decked seating and bar space. Perfect during the good weather months. Good Covid measures. Love this venue
