Lovely big seats and lots of leg room. There are ramps available so accessibility is pretty good, but would be better if they had rails next to the stairs in the cinema for non-wheelchair users with mobility issues as the top seats are usually kept free in case of a wheelchair. Nice spacious areas to sit and have a drink before or after the movie.
I love the $15 double features, and the movies you guys select to show are great. I will admit the popcorn is a little bit disappointing, but I feel like all cinemas are a bit that way now Hoyts not selling fresh popcorn anymore?! Overall nice place though. Liked how the toilets were right next to my theatre last time I went, I didn’t miss out on anything in the movie! So good. Keep it up guys :
Great cinema, been coming here for as long as I can remember! Right in the heart of the East End, they show a range of art house movies as well as the 'standard' movies. Check the 'Festivals and Events' drop down menu for a further list of whats on. They have 2 loyalty programs for cinema goers. The Star Card is free register online or at the kiosk area, the Premium Loyalty Card has an annual cost, but the perks are better. Both give discount tickets for up to 4 people. You can easily catch public transport to the cinema. Catch the Botanic Park tram there's a stop outside the Adelaide railway station to the Botanic Gardens Tram stop and head down Paxtons Walk to Cinema Place.
This is the place to go to see movies you can't see anywhere else, including old time movies and amazing theatre from all around the world. Great service, good choice of food and wine and drinks. Even good coffee.
Great venue with friendly staff. Watched Metallica album launch. Awesome!
What a fantastic place this cinema is. Walking through the wide alleyway decorated for Xmas we thought we were away on some exotic holiday. Inside the picture theatre was amazing too with seat yo eat at that you bought from the bar which was filled with goodies and drinks of your choice. Try it you'll be amazed.
Excellent staff. Place needs a facelift. Small Cinema room which was great. Bathroom needs tiding up
Went with a friend to see the Premier Screening of Ribspreader - cinema 8. Had a great time, so comfy chairs & they accommodates all kind of disabilities. 5 star to the staff for there helpfulness. Great night out , so support local made films.
My other sanctuary in Adelaide. Especially on hot summer days. Besides movies and comfortable chairs , you can get coffee or tea and delicious cakes
Great cinema, though I would say the seats are narrow for those of wider hips bones. Missing the other Palace/Nova cinema accross the rundle street. Update, 22 January 2023. Saw another movie in Cinema 2. Seats are also narrow here, though supportive
