One time the lights didn't turn off at the start of the film until someone went and found a staff member, then they didn't come back on at the end either. Apart from the one time that happened I've always really enjoyed seeing films here, they show a good range and have many different sized cinemas. It's relatively spacious with the comfy reclining seats so it's really nice not feeling crammed in.
Local cinema in Coburg. Avoid screen 9, tho as it is tiny :-. Recliner chairs. Parking on sitenCheaper tickets after joining the free online membership.nLocated on first floor
Been a Palace member for years and was so excited by this cinema. Yes, it shows great movies but my god…nnThe customer service is terrible and when it’s not terrible it’s cause there is no staff.nnGuaranteed to queue for over 20mins while 1 or two staff members working the ticket/confectionary desknnI would say I’ve been to the cinema over 25 times and there has never been a staff member checking ticketsnnThe cleanliness is awful, the female toilets have had broken soap dispensers and broken taps since they opened and after today’s visit there was one tap working & only one drier working.nnThe chairs are noisy and some of them so don’t even work anymore.nnI’ve tried to give feedback but it’s a bit hard when there isn’t a manager on duty!nnIt needs better management and an actual standard like every other Palace cinema!
Good cinema with comfy seats, but the staff very rarely seem to ask you for your movie club number during transactions compared to other Palace Cinemas that are good about reminding members to use it or non members to sign up. Movie club is a great scheme that encourages repeat patronage and encourages people to buy snacks at the cinema something that seems to be a concern based on other reviews here, Pentridge Cinemas should give it some love.
Pros: Well designed mini cinema complex with wide seats and electric foot rests.nCons: Limited service only 2 staff members covering all food/drink/ticketing/entry and the audio system in cinema 9 had faulty surround sound
