I love Paddy's Markets and often visit. On one side there are the fresh fruit and vegetables while on the other there is clothing and souvenirs. I find all of it to be inexpensive. I particularly like the freshness of the produce and that they have an abundance of fruit and vegetables that reflect the seasons.
A market that has nearly everything a tourist want. If you want souvenirs to bring back home with you then come here. It very cheap compared to other souvenirshops. If you want to eat some good food from different kitchens of the world, you can try the food hall!
Visited the place on 19 Feb 2026, 3rd Day of Chinese Lunar New Year and 1st Day of Muslim Ramadhan.nIt was first time visiting the place, not difficult to find the place, we took the Light Rail 2 stops from QVB.nIt took us few minutes to find the Paddy's Market as we entered from the main road to the side building. It was so cool as outside was scotching hote. The mall was clean, neat & spacious. There were signage leading us to the UG of the markets.nThere were so many Souvenirs to choose with!nThe vegetable market was also fantastic! Sonny fresh veggies & fruits, we bought Tasmanian Cherry for $18/kgnLove the Market...don't miss it
This is a very good place to shop for those who would like to hunt for ingredients for Chinese cuisines and understanding Chinese immigrants in Sydne. Variety of seasonal fruits and ingredients for Chinese dishes can be found here. Prices are cheaper and fresher than listed in the local supermarkets if you minus the air-conditioned. Besides fresh products, you can find all Australia souvenirs at the other end of the markets. Within the market, you can also find local and western food in cafe at one side of the market. Famous cheese cafe, pizza cafe, Chinese beef soup noodles... of course wine, beers and coffees are not indispensable. This is must visit place in Sydney. Prepare to spend at least half a day here for shopping, lunch and cafe if you feel tired after walking. Market open from Wed to Sun, 10am to 6pm. Dinning area close later.nThere is a aircond shopping mall next to the market called Market City. You can find different Asia food in their food court and also a Chinese Supermarkets located here with all source of items from drinks, fruits, bakery, cooking ingredients,.Chinese spices, household items, fresh meats... prices are more higher compared with next door wet market. Option to plan for your 2nd half of the day after your morning shopping for your gifts and fresh fruits... back to Market City for some aircond eating at the food court, do some shopping in this 2-3 level stores.
First visit since its revamp, and what an absolutely pleasant surprise!!nExcellent makeover, loads of food stalls, and not one the same-bloody brilliant!!nDefinitely a place to go visit.
