To be true, not what I remember of how Paddy's Markets ground floor look like. Gone were the old ragged style stalls. The stores are nice and tidy now. With the additional of the food area made it welcoming.

Located at 9/13 Hay Street, Haymarket, New South Wales, Australia nThese markets are probably Sydney’s most iconic. They are undergoing a transformation. It’s turning into a great Food and Beverage hub that has a great selection of food hawker style stalls to choose from. This is known as Hay St Market and is open 7 days. You still have the market stalls selling everything from tourist souvenirs, novelty costumes, sunglasses, clothing, leather goods and so much more. I feel it’s not a place to go to if you want good quality products or arts and crafts but you might find something that interests you. There’s also a fresh produce section and fish  market. Above the markets is Market City Shopping Centre and the Asian Food Court. It’s definitely worth a visit and so easy to get to with the light rail just outside. Thumbs up!

Busy and lively market with plenty of stalls — from fresh produce to clothes, gifts, and food. Great place to wander and shop for bargains. It does get very crowded as you can see from the queues, so be prepared to wait if you’re after something popular. Overall, worth visiting for the variety and atmosphere.

Super cute things! Affordable souvenirs, just shop around first and come back to the things you liked. We found that some items that were exactly the same were higher prices elsewhere and the same print could be on different types of totes, etc.
