Anytime that a fish and chip shop tells you they don't do large orders of chips bundled up in butchers paper, you can't help but feel disappointed. That is half the experience!! The alternative? Paper bags in two sizes, "small" and "large" served on a Styrofoam style tray. The fish and chips were fine, just not really "large" as suggested by serve size. Should really be "small" and "medium". At $14.50 per serve for a large fish and chip you don't want to still be hungry afterwards, we were.
Fresh fish & chips. They did manage to miss our order, even though we were the only ones ordering at the time. 20 minutes later some very nice fish n chips did arrive.Food: 5/5
We stopped here and had good fish and chips, with the unexpected extra of desserts - they also have a selection of home made pastries on offer! The lemon meringues were delish!
Stopped in to the patisserie and saw macarons $5, small tarts $8 and an almond croissant unpriced. I've had croissants from some of the world's best bakeries and this one was pretty good - but it was $12. I don't know if they're making them on site, it just getting them in from elsewhere, but $12 is way overpriced. Not even Lune charge that much. Anyway, I try to support local shops, but buyer beware.
Best fish crumbed flathead and chips I've had in a while. The small restaurant is clean obviously recently refurbished and the young lady serving was friendly and efficient.
Not very good value. Chips were okay, but the oysters and fish weren't very good. Lady serving also didn't know how to make a long black, which was odd.
We ordered seafood linguini but instead we get fried noodles with imitation crab and boiled shrimp on top. They charged us $12.50 for 'fried rice' but we got tasteless rice with a few peas corn and carrot. Huge rip-off.
Chips where cooked well however not good value. We purchased a large and small chips, when we got home we found the large chips bag was half full and same quantity as the small. Poor effort guys.
I had a lovely, Tassie seafood meal at this quaint chinese fish and chips shop at Swansea.
Fish and chips was very nice. If I visit here, I will ask to get prawn washed before cooking for me! Meal was 9/10 Happy new year
