Best pie ever had. Bought it by mistake which turned out as a win. Better than Fairlie and others promoted as the best. It was the pastry along with the filling - the pie wasn’t all pastry. Brilliant filling as well. We need them in the Nth Island.
Perfect bakery, bubbly staff, made the visit perfect. Delicious selection of pies, my steak, mushroom and bacon pie was fantastic. Was too slow to get a cheese scone, they'd sold out. Was tempted for something sweet so tried an Afghan biscuit. Amazing dark icing under the wallnut with a beautiful biscuit. Also ordered a hot chocolate that lasted all the way to Balclutha. Top marks team, won't be a regular as the commute is quite long but will make a point of dropping in next time in Gore.
Wonderful costomer service from all the staff. Excellent coffee with no extra cost for the alternative milk. Beautiful selection of pies. The vegetarian quiche was excellent. I can't wait to taste your future vegan pies! Highly recommend!
Their store is amazing and has always got fresh stock every time. I highly recommend this place if you want a coffee or just a snack. The staff is really kind and is always helpful. I love their chicken satay pie it goes great with a coffee in the morning great place in general

Best mince and cheese pies in the world when baked right. Sometimes pastry isn't as crispy as I like it, but when it is..oh boy! it makes my whole day great.
Stopped today for a pie, 1 Mexican & pork, thought we'd try their coffee pleasantly surprised the coffee wasn't bad, not the best, but certainly very drinkable. Pies were excellent, as they have been on previous visits. Shortbread has our Grandsons seal of approval. Definitely well worth the stop.
What a pie! It was HUGE. We drove from dunedin to invercargill and needed somewhere to stop for lunch. Tha cabinet looked incredible. Hubby got 2 pies & a filled roll & said the pies were some of the best he has ever eaten!!! Next time we are down this way we will stop for sure. 100% highly recommend.
Can not choose one thing I like from here as everything I have had is sooooo good and super yummy .the pies, cakes,slices,sandwiches everything is 5 star delicious
