Pioneer kitchen is one of the fast food type eateries located in the outback pioneer hotel. Pizzas are ok and fish and chips are average. Food is average, nothing to write home about and expensive for what you get but portions are good. Place is clean but there are few tables so at busy times you will struggle. The pub next to it adds some character at night time as they show sports and have a live singer. End of the day there are not many choices here and they have a captive customer base. Staff are polite and nice. Will fill you up and on short pizzas are probably the best option. Vegetarian options: They have veggie options like burgers and pizzas and pies.
Nice cozy bar for a couple of drinks and some simple food. Had a lovely time with live music, beers and pizza. Crowd was very excited with the tunes. I recommend this place if you’re in the area.
I wasn’t served due to the fact that I left the passes at our campground, which I totally get it was my fault. However extremely dishearted at the way I was treated about it, the young lady working behind the bar and also another older lady working behind the reception desk had such attitudes about it and instead of explaining what was required and why? The lady behind the bar just walked off abruptly and the lady at the reception desk speaking in such condescending manner and saying like like “you have been told”. I didn’t understand fully the gravity of the situation in regards to showing your accommodation passes to venues in the Town of Uluṟu before being able to purchase alcohol etc, as it wasn’t properly explained to us upon arrival but sometimes it goes a long way to show kindness. I was more than happy to go back and get my pass however I was reluctant to return as I feel your staff are unfriendly and cold. Just Be Kind
Food looks terrible, like it’s straight from a high school cafeteria, but surprisingly tastes pretty good. Probably the best value on the resort, the $24 pizza is basically an entire day’s worth of food. Burgers and wraps are juicy. Front register could use some more organization, dude was frequently AWOL.
4 stars for the value and the friendly staff. The quality is solid, but nothing fancy. Everything in Yulara is expensive and rightly so. I understand why, so the buffet salad bar is a great way to fill up and refuel on quality food. Top tip: grab some salt and pepper, straight up, to season your steak as it's cooking. You'll enjoy it a lot more. Leave some room for the crumble with cream. Or, the sliced pineapple with cream is a tasty alternative.
This place has a few different options. Cook your own byo meals in the camp kitchen, cook your purchased meat on their provided bbqs, bar meals and take away fastish food. Pizza, fish and chips, burgers. Eat in the open on picnic tables, no air con. The purchased meals are ok priced for the remote location.
Small but enough menu. The Outback burger was tasty. At $17 You get a well seasoned and moist patty, fresh bun and all the trims including yummo beets. The pizzas are decently sized and good, especially the potato and chorizo one. Pizzas were around $25 each.
Food isn't good. Eatable if drunk but yeah definitely not up to standard. They were extremely busy so maybe partly to blame. But pizza under cooked and Bacon really gritty like it had been dropped in sand
Generally if its warm and brown I'm good, but this place was the ultimate rip-off for captive diners. Nearly $70 for two people and I had to spit out the salad it was so bad off?. The meat was tough... there is a kitchen in the same area, go to the IGA and cook yourself, it couldn't be worse!
Good for quick takeaway. Love the spicy Asian chicken wings 4pc for $12. Pizzas are huge and average tasting. Would not recommend the prawn cutlet. Love the live music playing from the band and being able to order drinks from the bar.
