Disappointed. I only recently moved to Morwell & love Indian food so thought l would try this restaurant. The chicken tandoori was very dry and therefore tough. The flavour was there and the sauce was lovely, such a pity. The chicken korma made me think twice as l am use to a brown thick sauce and this was cream in colour. The taste was dreadful, no flavour, watery and the rice was mushy. The garlic naan had no sign of garlic, l think it was diffused with garlic oil. I ended up throwing it out and having toast for dinner. I will try again as l always give a 2nd chance, maybe the chef was having a bad night. I hope so.
We will never be going back here again. The butter chicken is not the same anymore. It was really soft with a funny taste. The sauce is really runny with minimal taste and you barely get any chicken in the dish. The Saffron rice was chewy and did not taste right. The pricing is over the top at $27 for one large dish of butter chicken with only 5 bits of chicken in it! This restaurant use to be really busy and now it is empty. Not one person inside eating dinner and no other people waiting for orders. Service is poor with little to no knowledge about Indian food. A lot of products and drinks unavailable as not in stock, yet they are on the menu. Cleanliness is far from up to standard, with food not wiped from tables from previous customer, floor not vacuumed and cutlery and glasses dirty. Hands were not washed after handling money and items at counter, no gloves and straight back into making naan bread. Very disappointing.
Since the new owners took over, The place is absolutely beautiful, the staff here are extremely friendly. I would definitely go back and this is now going to be my go to place for food. The decorations here are so pretty. : This is the wrong review place as the old owners haven't taken it down, don't listen to the bad reviews ^^
Got a start just to leave a review. Food was 30 minutes late and after making a call to see where the food was the restaurant wouldn't answer when i called back to check my order again or for a refund. Food was horrible and i would have happily driven to drop it off on the counter if i got a answer. Save yourself and don't bother.
It was an experience that I’ll endure once, butter chicken had 3 pieces of chicken and was bland, the lamb dish was watery, the coconut rice had no flavour, the naan was like eating a scone at least the dog liked it. At least the service at the front counter was pleasant. Now to find a real Indian restaurant, because I could have thrown a better meal together.
DO NOT eat here. The food is utterly revolting. I think the roti was just warm cardboard, the dahl was a weird soup with canned lentils, veggies tasteless. Everything was clearly reheated from frozen. Couldn't eat anything we ordered. It was honestly THE WORST. The rice was ok - my one star is for the rice and the tap water.
This place was lovely. The service is so nice and the woman serving us was great. The decorations are great and the food is great too. 10/10 will come again : very great. There is now a new website as the place is under new management so don't listen to the reviews here because they've improved so much ^^
Last night dining at Out of India Morwell was very disappointing. I have been there in past and dinner been fine but last night they didn't deliver. A group of us had a banquet as we have done in the past. The sizes of dishes were quite smaller than in the past plus they couldn't deliver the whole banquet and too swap dishes for different ones. Lets just say not happy and on top of that I went home for cheese on toast. Haven't had to do that before after spending $35
Place was clean. Dead quiet .Was expecting at least a few people on a Saturday night. Like a ghost town. Customer service was plesant . Prices are adequate. Food was a bit bland and tasteless. Was expecting a bit of spice from indian food. Easy place to overlook or even forget. Maybe a marketing campaign is in order or the locals are avoiding it...Anything is worth trying once.
Vindaloo is supposed to be the hottest curry you can get. We received a watery flavorless slush that was not spicy at all. Bombay potatoes tasted like frozen mint and peas, disgusting! The chicken Tikka had no flavor and was like cardboard dry and stiff. We will never buy from this restaurant again. I don’t know what has changed. the food has gone from ok to absolutely disgusting. We ordered takeaway so we suffered at home, if we were at the restaurant I would have left and not paid for this horrible meal. Try the Indian restaurant in tarwin street it has flavor.
