One of the worst schools I have ever been to, when I attended there I was called names, being laughed at and made fun of. All of the girls here are so snobby and don’t know the meaning of manners. Teachers would always show up late to class not caring about student’s education. One time a teacher forced me to stand up in front of the whole class, because I have social anxiety it was the worst thing for me ever. The lady at the reception has no respect either, they are posing as a good school when it’s really just terrible. I don’t recommend sending your child her, because of this school I have switched to online school.
I attended here in 1975 and 1976, and it had problems back then. Went to a different Catholic girls' high school for 1977 where there was no challenging of authority, of the nuns or other staff; whereas, there was constant challenging of the nuns' authority and of other teaching staff's authority at Our Lady's. Was not a good experience and I wish I had not been sent there. I think I would have been better off going to the state high school all my brothers went to instead. I know from first-hand experience that things at the school had not improved by 1983-1985.
I highly recommend OLC for any family who wants their daughter to be known for more than just a number. Both my daughters have been a part of the OLC community since year 7 and have always had a great support network from both teachers and friends. OLC is a nice small inclusive school where great memories are made!
We made the right choice for our daughter in selecting Our Lady's College, Annerley. The leadership lives by the school values and tradition. The school community is small enough for the teachers, and even the Principal, to get to know the students well, but big enough to offer the right opportunities. The students are well supported by attentive, diligent teachers. The Tiwi Immersion experience will be a defining memory of OLC for our daughter.
My family feels blessed to be a part of the OLC community. My two girls have blossomed at the school, with many opportunities for them to participate in College life. They are known by name by their teachers, and enjoy respectful and rich relationships with both their peers and teachers.
