I thoroughly enjoyed my years teaching at OLMC Burraneer. Many of my happiest memories stem from times spent with the many students who participated in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Program. This opportunity was offered to all Year 9 and 10 students who were interested in challenging themselves in a variety of ways. The participants did Community Service, a new passive hobby and a new physical activity, and logged their progress. The group would also attend 2 Bushwalking expeditions, camping overnight in National Parks. The non-competitive nature of this scheme meant everyone could enjoy and achieve success. Many friendships were forged and strengthened in on these adventures.
The College is really moving forward with some excellent experiences for the students eg surfing! Added to this the progression to 7 - 12 provides a unique high quality senior schooling experience for the students.
This is a supurb girl's secondary catholic college. I am excited with the direction that this girl's secondary college is now heading which includes Senior Students, with the commencement of Year 11 classes in 2024. I find that the girls at OLM are very respectful with a willingness to learn. The College Executive and Staff are to be congratulated on the instillment of the genuine learning and caring culture that exists at OLM.
OLM offer a wide range of facilities including a swimming pool. They are also a NEWMAN Selective school!
A wonderful school for girls in the Shire with excellent facilities and learning environment
