Loved the location and the food. Drinks were delicious. There was a vegan menu which was a huge bonus. All the dishes were good although the vegan fettuccine was not as delicious as the other dishes. Would go here again for a treat because of the price being higher than most other restaurants I visitFood: 4/5
We loved the relaxed ambience, lovely views and friendly service! However the quality & taste of food didn’t really match. The prosciutto wasn’t the best & it wasn’t fresh. We liked our pasta as it wasn’t greasy but the flavour was basic and lacked dimension. The lamb was very average, it wasn’t tender - in fact it was quite rubbery & didn’t have any taste. Our favourite of the evening would have to be the bread.
Food & service were amazing. The fish of the day was a highlight with the clam linguine and scallops with caviar as honorable mentions. Their balsamic vinegar used in the salad and for dipping bread into with olive oil was particularly good as well - it was slightly sweeter than your typical balsamic vinegar on the street and I would love to come back even just for that! Note that cakeage is $25pp
Stellar service with a waterfront location and fantastic food. We had the 9 course degustation and experienced prompt service from the staff. Each dish was an exciting combination of the nostalgic flavours of my Italian youth presented in new and exciting ways. Especially loved the dessert to cap it all off. We weren’t waiting long at all between courses and with a view that beautiful it’d be hard to complain about having time to admire it.
Firstly this place knows how to make you feel welcome! Being seated immediately and having two gas heaters switched on so that the cool sea breeze didn’t get too chilly after the sun went down was great. They have little mats to rest your expensive handbags on. Style plus. Their selection of mocktails was fantastic. The truffle inspired menu was delicious and the only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is that it is very very expensive.
One of my favourite Italian restaurants in Sydney - great selection of authentic Italian food, beautiful presentation and sensational flavours! Very impressed by the quality of focaccia and bread selections. Very quick and efficient service
This place was buzzing and full on an overcast, cool summer day. Servers offer you the drinks menu and after you've ordered your drinks bring you the food menu. Sets the scene that drinks are the priority here. Food was mediocre and servings are small. For the price of each meal I'd have expected it to not exclaim that it needed salt. My favourite dish was the spaghetti with Moreton Bay Bugs. Overall, the experience was good but I'll unlikely go here again.
Lovely food and lovely ambience. It was a wonderful experience dining by the wooloomooloo wharf. You definitely need to pay the price for the experience . They also offered a wooden block for me to place my bag, which was much appreciated. Our favourites of the night were the pasta - the special spinner crab pasta with a spicy kick and the moreton bay bug linguine with pesto sauce. I loved that you could get the entree or main portion, priced accordingly. The lamb was alright, not too gamey so I was able to eat some. I was quite disappointed by the $40 zucchini flower stuffed with lobster 2 pieces, didn’t make a difference that lobster was in the flower.. it was relatively bland and oily. The chocolate mousse dessert was alright, I wasn’t particularly keen since the chocolate shell was really tough. The drinks were pretty decent. I would request for a wharf side table, they seem to be all filled out when we got there. Just a note, they charge for bread $7 for 2 pieces per pax, with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the side.
I found the food to be quite average… for a high end restaurant there wasn’t much flavour and I felt it was quite plain. We had pretty good service, so am happy with that. Unfortunately, probably wouldn’t come here again for food though…
Service is warm, welcoming and attentive. Food was nice but underwhelming for the price tag. Portions are very small. Ok experience but probably wouldn't visit again.Food: 3/5
