Purposefully deceptive customer service and attempts to overcharge, even with manager intervention. On Wed 4th of March 2026 at 8am I attempted to order 2 coffees, the customer service representative attempted 4 different times to charge me for 3 coffees, when I expressed it was being entered incorrectly, and that 2 coffees were not going to cost over $17...she repeatedly informed me that was the price. What looked like the manager intervened and reinforced the same narrative, after trying to communicate my order over 6 times, I gave up and left. Wont be going back, and by the reviews online, it looks like the same unchanged behaviour thats been allowed to continue. It looks like an attempt to provide themselves with free coffees at customer expense and distress.
Terrible service, by two particular employees. Purni and kurshni, consumed my free coffee, then told me it wasnt there. Very dismissive and immature about the situation, didnt offer help at all to fix the issue, made 6 other coffees while it was all happening while honouring someone elses coffee app. Would rather someone who can actually understand what im saying instead of staring at me like you cant understand english. 1 girl on counter and all other employees hiding out the back being lazy. Only work now coz they have to bring up with manager and will take footage of the time i was there. Skip back 10 mins before and youll see your employees being lazy. Went to athelstone and explained the situation, they fixed it up.
OTR netwon makes the best coffees, but everything else is down hill. The shop floor is always messy, the floors arent swept, and the customer service is absolutly appauling. I also find it unprofessional when there are two workers one is the manager outside especially in the morning taking a smoke break out in public for everybody to see and there is just one person serving during the morning rush. Please fix this!!!
We ordered subway at otr newton 11:30pm. First of all when we started ordering customer service feels like bit rude to us and at last it was terrible she made subway way to worse and it didn’t feel like a good dinner.nnMight need to give more training to the people. If they are busy why they show rude behaviour to customers.
To the bearded/moustache dude with the glasses, giving your customer attitude when they've been polite to you says it all...maybe you should get re-trained and go through an attitiude adjustment....Avoid this servo AT ALL COST
