Organ Pipes National Park
"The Organ Pipes National Park is located at the eastern-most edge of one of the world’s largest ancient volcanic lava flows, stretching 350 kilometres from the edge of Melbourne to the western border of Victoria. Park your car on top of an old volcano and take a walk into the river valley to the awesome stone columns that give this park its name. The Organ Pipes hang on a cliff face over picturesque Jackson Creek.A leisurely stroll down the hill leads to the iconic Organ Pipes, Rosette Rock which resembles the spokes of a giant wheel, and Tessellated Pavement, a mosaic-like basalt outcrop.Organ Pipes National Park is a great place to enjoy a picnic. Picnic tables are available next to the carpark and near the Organ Pipes lookout."

A nice little spot with a cool rock formation and nice views of the hills around. The walk itself is pretty short and easy with well formed path, however it is quite steep at the beginning and would be difficult for small children or people with mobility issues. Nice spot for a picnic at the bottom right near the organ pipes with some picnic tables.
A good place to go trekking with older kids. The whole trek would last an hour depending on the stops you make. There are three sites to see. - The Organ Pipes formation - The Rosette Rock - The Tessellated Pavement Can walk on them It’s a broad road to walk down. A steep descent, not recommended for those who may find it hard to ascend. Avoid the rainy seasons as best practice when trekking. They have a nice picnic ground and ample car park space. Minus - No kids play area so may be a disappointment for the younger crowd. Overall, fascinating to see rock formation from years and years ago.
Nice park to go to with the family. Has nice views and some good reads along the way about the history and animals that live there. It’s a relatively short walk going to the organ pipes from parking but be prepared for the walk back as the path is mainly going up. Overall nice place to go to with picnic spots and access to toilets.
More of a picnic area for a nice day out with mates or families, easy to get to and easy to navigate your way round except walking back to the car park area is slightly steep. Best times are early mornings or pretty much everyone is at work so you can enjoy the whole area to yourself!
It's a small, peaceful scenic park. Not a large area but is quite accessible and easy to walk on. Path was mostly flat except at the start which was a little steep. Didn't encounter stairs. There is a small river and besides the organ pipes, there are also rosette rocks and the tessellated path but they aren't much to look at. Still interesting. Toilets and plenty of parking space
Nice hour long walk from the car park to the ‘organ pipe’ rock formation and then to the tessellated rock area. There is not much shade so in a hot day it can be quite hot. All the amenities are at the car park which sits at the top of the hill. The walk back is touched as it’s all uphill. It’s not a pretty spot compared to other areas in Victoria but a nice outing none the less.
Good park for a hike with family. When we went, it needs maintenance and weeding. It's a small park but good for a family walk. Nice picnic area down the bottom. It also has toilet facilities long drop, but no bins.
An easy walking tracks in good ladscape. You will get to experience a little nature and history here. Simply stunning rock formation and few different experiences within. There is spot for picnic and was free to enter. There's small running river/canal in a peaceful surroundings.
I reckon this place definitely worth a visit but not sure if I will come back anytime soon. The park has good toilet facilities both at the top and bottom of the park and although the overall park is easy to walk/explore, there is a relatively steep path from the top/car park down to the organ pipes attraction, so be prepared and come with comfy walking shoes! Nice couple hours walk to enjoy the nature.
Can’t believe this little National Park is nearby! Great little hiking spot, but be aware of the steep climb back up. Amazing geological features - the columnar jointing from past volcanoes are a really great to view and photograph. Lots of little picnic areas if you’d like to make a day out of it.
