As far as being in the middle of no where the Orepuki beach cafe is tops. A fantastic cafe where you would never expect to find one. Good food nice staff.

Warm, welcoming cafe with great service and delicious food.  I had the soup of the day French onion which was finely presented and very tasty.  Coffee was also nice.  The Orepuki Beach Cafe is a great place to stop and relax after facing the wind and rain of Southland!

What a find! So pleased we turned back after visiting Gemstone Beach. Wonderful food and service. Wish we lived closer so we could come back.

We came to look for gems on Gemstone Beach, but found this gem instead! Food from their own farm, gluten-free options, wonderful coffee, lovely helpful staff.
