Pleasantly surprised as soon as I arrived at the restaurant. Great atmosphere and top quality finishes. Overall the food was great! The lamb and steak cooked exactly how we ordered them. 10/10 for presentation. Potatoes and wok tossed broccolini were sides but were so good I could have eaten them on their own. Pasta cooked well and generous with the prawns. The lamb chops entree and frangipani cake I would not recommended but everything else was great! Our waiter was very attentive and friendly . I would come back and highly recommend to all.
My husband and I ordered the steak and lamb dishes for lunch this week. We were surprised about the location, pleasantly surprised the establishment itself is small and quiet. The food and service were both great. I'd recommend and likely return, myself. My only issue was how cold it was inside, I wished I'd had a sweater.Food: 4/5
Love the place! Great service from an Awesome team. Absolutely mouth watering dishes. Beautiful presentation and flavors. A great place catching up with friends.
Restaurant in the Sebel Hotel, can't believe I haven't been here before - v close to home. Tables are quite close, its not a large space. We all enjoyed our meals, they were a bit slow in coming which we didn't care about. Lamb rump, mushrooms, Korean chicken, creme brulee & a chocolate mouse type dessert. The only 2 things I'd add is that there wasn't much taste on the mushrooms and the biscotti was soft when it should be hard. But overall a lovely meal & I'll go back.
It was the spur of the moment ever since I saw the building nearby Dennys and decided to try my luck. Luckily it was quiet in the afternoon and decided to order my food. At first being seated, it did took awhile to get the waitress attention assuming that there was some emergency she need to tend to on her phone, after a couple of times trying to get their attention, I got up wanting to order. After clarifying the food ingredients and order a coffee, the wait of the food was awfully late. I didn't think much of it until just as I was going to get up to find out what was wrong, my food arrived. Food arrived rather late but because I was practically starving I ate it so fast I didn't even check the time. Food review - ordered the lamb loin had asked for medium rare but the lamb was almost cooked to well done with the exception of medium well and part of it was dry. Seaweed wakabe was lightly spiced and under that was the kumara was just as delicious when eaten together. Aside from the lamb, everything was so delicious! I think I would be very keen to come back if I didn't have to wait as long and it would be nice to have some sort of communication between the customer and waitress of why the food isn't coming out. Then paying for the food, I only had to pay half the price because of what had happened. Everyone seem to be really nice but overall the service seem to be lacking in little areas. Apologies for this honest review.
First time here and maybe the last time. Service was good but taste was missing alot of stuff, like good flavour, the highlight for this platter was the beef and bread. Would recommend rethinking the special for the next Matariki or just the way you cook it.
The Gentleman was very warm and welcoming, so well groomed in front of Restaurant Area. The. food was much nicer than other places we have been too, just the pancakes were hard around the edges. From entering Premises to Restaurant, the staff were so Friendly and Helpful and well presented 11 out of 10 to them, we enjoyed our late breakfast . Thankyou Parking: Easy access to car park, very clean and well maintained. . There was a maintenance man in the garden area working very hard. Area was spotless as with interior.
Great place for dinner and staff was friendly and helpful .. Restaurant decor was sooooo beautiful .. sonia was so helpful
Quaint and intimately sized Venue. I had the market fish, paired with it was THE BEST polenta I've ever had. Exquisite Dessert. That 'indulgence cake' was just rich-on-rich-on-rich Vegetarian options: They had an option as a Starter and Mains
Omg this place was amazing, such delicious food and presentation will definitely be going back and waitress was very friendly and polite recommend giving this place a try A++ for food A++ for service
