Lance and Philippa Ridgway, with daughters Amanda Swale and Josephine Marshall began trading from a classic 19th Century Adelaide cottage in 2000. The address was number 1 Rundle Street, Kent Town.
Inspired by the decoration and design of European country houses throughout the centuries, we are determined to inject that timeless period style with the freshness and vitality of the Australian interior.
We have always sought out unique, classic pieces which have tremendous design integrity, are beautifully made with timeless appeal and which can be offered at realistic prices. Interiors created from one Rundle stock will continue to evolve and develop for decades to come.
We quickly outgrew our premises at number 1 Rundle Street and in 2003 relocated to a sensational 1920’s Melba Picture Theatre in Dulwich on the fringe of the city of Adelaide. In 2006 we capitalised upon Amanda’s extensive experience in the fashion industry to develop a collection of the best Australian and International labels at one Rundle.
It is 11 years since we began trading from Rundle Street. We are now privileged to furnish, design and decorate some of the most beautiful interiors in Adelaide, dress some of the most discerning women and provide some of the most covetable gifts.
